20th thread

If lost then see message 2 on the first page for the codes/info collated from previous threads (to save slow loading for those using phones).

Thanks for the bacon suggestions. I've got quite a few bits already, waiting for some baconaise to be delivered, and it's done. Just disapointed that my popcorn isn't bacon. Guess he'll make do with the bacon jam Hmm

Elizadoesdolittle · 05/11/2013 22:18

My god I've just serched for bacon flavoured things on amazon. It's amazing what they have. Lip balm, soap, air freshner, and mints to name but a few. Crazy!

InTheRedCorner · 05/11/2013 22:30

Kipsy thank you thank you! I will be doing a book people order tomorrow evening (to late now) with a large order. I will try all of the collated codes and report back.

On other matters...

Reastie is on her 20th thread and apart from any newbies now (and there will be loads now it's November) we have all most probably taken advantage of the codes, decided not for us or the codes are expired or raised in price.

We could move on to a new November thread as a fresh sensible Christmas shopping thread, no links just starting again...

I love reading all the chit chat and drama as much as the next dedicated bargain hunter, let's keep it light hearted and stress free saving the stress of RL shopping not swapping it for online stress

stripes1 · 05/11/2013 22:32

Are there any online fatface codes around? Thanks

zipzap · 05/11/2013 22:32

leilandri Are you going to put one of the bargain Peppa Pig DVDs (or other PP bargains!) into your dh's Bacon Hamper? Grin

weebarra · 05/11/2013 22:41

Iggorist - thank you so much for the Lands End code! And thank you Reastie for all your hard work - I didn't do mag subscriptions or much of the other stuff but I do search the thread for stuff useful to me and it has made my xmas shopping so much easier. I start chemo for breast cancer tomorrow and am happy knowing that most of my shopping is done. Thanks

attheendoftheendofmytether · 05/11/2013 22:42

Thank you!!

Sheeparefluffy · 05/11/2013 22:45

weebarra I hope it all goes as well as possible for you tomorrow. Big hugs.

zipzap · 05/11/2013 22:46

InTheRedCorner if you're doing a big Book People order, then it might be worth splitting the order if you're able to stack codes and make it work for you - the reason being if you have 4 orders in a year then you become a points passport member that basically means that all your orders for the next year get upgraded to next day delivery, there's a separate customer service and order number if you want to ring up (they're very helpful!) and there are some extra offers for you.

I did it last year in the run up to christmas when they were offering freebies if you bought 2 of these cookery books or 5 of those kids books or spent over £25 or £40. It meant that instead of buying the 4 of these cookery books and just getting one freebie, I split them between orders and got 2. And as each order went over the 'get a free diary/wrapping set' amount, I got two rather than one of them.

Meant I got certainly got great extra value from them that I wouldn't have had if I had done it all in one order, didn't cost me any extra and also that I was one order closer to getting the points passport.

I've just checked them and it looks like they have lots of offers coming up this week - www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_content1_tbp?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&spotName=wl_WeekOfWonder_

No idea how they will work with existing codes though sorry!

Hello one and all, did anyone order bulbs/seeds aaaaages ago? Can't remember who I ordered them with (poss Telegraph) but have realised with all the flurry of parcels that they haven't shown up yet! Can anybody help please?!

stripes1 · 06/11/2013 05:51

TheBuskersDog thank you Thanks

lazzaroo · 06/11/2013 06:03

Yes insomnia, I ordered on 28/9 and not got them yet. I e-mailed them last week to query but have had no reply. Will e-mail again today I think.

ValiumQueen · 06/11/2013 06:30

Also waiting on bulbs. Still the later they arrive the better chance of them not going mouldy before being gifted.
