I spent £70 in Argos on Monday but didn't get £5 voucher. was I just unlucky to time my purchase in a break of that particular promotion?! Or should I be going back to demand one!! Confused

MooseyMoo · 31/10/2013 14:20

Just got my delivery from Boden, included was an offer to download 5 festive books for free:

Go to: mebooks.co/miniboden, register and download app for free and download five children's books (full instructions on the website link).

Just got my Crew order and inside was £10 off a £25 shop with code CREW. Not including sale stuff, valid till 30th Nov.

Hi Girls

It's actually really easy - although I'd never have known without this thread!

The deal works if you collect Tesco clubcard points.
I don't know how you do it instore - I went online at TescoDirect.

I put the Hudl in my trolley and went to the checkout - they gave me the option of putting any clubcard points I'd saved towards the purchase. At the moment Tesco are doing a clubcard boost - so points are worth double.
I used all the points I had saved - and ended up with £60 off!
I also had an email Tesco had sent me for £10 off any order over £50...

So was only charged £49. Brilliant - it makes the Hudl an affordable but 'special' present for my 6.8yr old dd.

Hope it helps you
x

I've just got back from Sainsburys and they had three different David Beckham aftershaves on sale, all priced between £5.50 and £7.00 IIRC.

I bought one bottle as a stocking filler for my nephew.

snappybadger · 31/10/2013 14:36

thanks moosey - my ds will love those books

Goldenhandshake · 31/10/2013 14:39

Ordered the little kitchen reduced to £6 in the entertainer for my niece, she is going to love it so thank you to whoever found that!

PhantomMenace · 31/10/2013 14:40

Not really Christmassy, but amazon are selling Stephen King books for the kindle at 99p today. I just bought myself ten one Blush

KennyBanya · 31/10/2013 14:48

Lurker here, posting a tip. If you we thinking about getting a Kindle for Christmas, Argos have £10 for an over £100 spend, plus you get a £10 kindle voucher. So £20 back in total, in vouchers.

kiwidreamer · 31/10/2013 14:49

Ktwo stationary is having a Halloween 50% off selected items, included is their 5 yr Christmas Organiser, I can also recommend their recipe file, its free standing and has clear files for printed recipes and cards to write some out, flip style, its fantastic.

www.ktwoproducts.com/

the promo is on a banner on their main page with the code you need, free delivery with £10 spend

Passthecake30 · 31/10/2013 14:53

newtonupontheheath · 31/10/2013 15:07

Re the gap-esk christmas pjs...

Notso I did the same as snappy and bought the 4/5 pjs for my ds who has just turned 3. I got the 18-24m for my dd who is a small 12m and they look a similar size to what she is wearing.

They look decent-ish quality but do take ages to arrive, so order now or not at all!

I bought my ds and dd matching, which I think is a genius idea. DH made this face Hmm

My bargain arrivals in the past few days have been the 3 toy story films for £12 and delivered free from tesco, and the 99p ebay scarf, and they body shop stuff... I bought a couple of nice shower gels for myself, two baby hairbrushes (about £1 each with the discounts and they are lovely) and a few from the range of lemon scented stuff which I have already used as an emergency present. So pleased I had something decent in stock!

DreamlessSleep · 31/10/2013 15:08

Still waiting. And a lot of the other stuff im still waiting for.

neddle · 31/10/2013 15:09

Do the elc birthday codes work with the haklf term 50% off and the extra 20%? Mine says it's not valid :(

Also, what are they like instore for exchanging things? I'm after the London bus, but it's oos on the website. Could I order something else with codes then change it instore for the bus do you think?

I'm looking for ds3 and he got the train last christmas. Looking for a nice set, but really want the ones that aren't on offer :(

shash1982 · 31/10/2013 15:12

Just got a mn goat! Grin

TK Maxx had baylis & harding sets nearly half price and loads of toy stocking fillers.

girlsyearapart · 31/10/2013 15:23

Thanks isa and whoever else helped with the tesco Hudl tips..
According to my account I have 0 points. This can't be true. Need to explore this when I get home..

craftynclothy · 31/10/2013 15:24

Marking my place. I have been away at the dreaded in-laws so have missed loads but I suppose that's a good thing as I've finished my Xmas shopping. My H&M order arrived today and everything was lovely - got an apron, tea towel, dishcloth and sack.

Passthecake30 · 31/10/2013 15:37

Ha ha bird scarfs and LED rings for teachers it is. Grin

Or £1 boxes of maltesars who would not appreciate that?
