18th thread

If lost then see message 2 on the first page for the codes/info collated from previous threads (to save slow loading for those using phones).

Apologies that the long code list isn't fully updated from the last thread - I've been ill and haven't been able to keep up. If there's anything good which I can add to the next OP please will you fill me in and I'll add it? Thanks

giraffeseatpineapples · 28/10/2013 10:11

Claimed by me the christmas boost page hadn't been updated but the clubcard boost logos were on the toys and it went through at checkout.

I just typed this out but it didn't post for some reason :(

Sorry, can't link, but I just bought my nephew a 9" minion plush from amazon for £5.09. I typed despicable me into te search bar and it was on the first or second page.

Also, can anyone advise me on the amazon lightning deals please? I'm a bit of a technophobe so probably doing this completely wrong but when I type lightning deals into the search bar nothing comes up. Tia Halloween Smile

I think this might be the end of the Hearst magazines sage. Just got this reply 19 days later...

"Dear Coffee

Thank you for your recent email.

I can confirm that as you have cancelled your subscription with the bank he last issue you will receive against your previous payment is: January 2014 (on sale 05.12.13).

May I take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in the magazine.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.

Kind regards"

I asked them to confirm that I didn't have to send the gifts back after all in the last email but as they have ignored that point I'm assuming that means I don't have to! I can finally crack open my perfume and watch now hah!

siblingrevelry · 28/10/2013 10:53

My DS was 4 mths, and DD 3 months for their first Xmasses.

I got them a couple of rattle/teether type pressies (mainly to bulk out the sack!), and a soft toy which has become a 'keepsake', so when they're older they (and you) know what they had for their first Xmas (so DS got a tigger toy, DD got a Xmas Minnie mouse).

Either that or a book set - not useful now but will be as they get older (Little miss box set/beatrix potter/guess how much I love you etc)?

At this age it's more for everyone else (and, as I say, so when you're asked in the future what you got them for their first Xmas you have an answer!)

Kyrptonite · 28/10/2013 10:59

Do Zulily do free delivery ever? I really like the ology books ( Egypt and Dino) for DS 4 but I'm not sure if he will be too young for them

AndiPandi · 28/10/2013 11:02

Finally received my Murad ski care free gift (magazine subscription) but if that's worth £45 I'll eat my hat! So disappointing, was hoping to use as a gift for SIL but looks crap. Packaging is rubbish ans 3 of the 4 items are teeny tiny sample size! 4th product isn't very big either!

GirlWithTheYellowHat I really wish I had got my DC a lovely personalised Christmas sack and stocking for their first Christmas presents.
DS2 was 2 weeks old for his first Christmas, he got a bear from BuildABear, a Lamaze buggy toy, a pack of bath toys, a bottle of Bodyshop baby bath, a pack of vests and sleep suits in the next size up, some dribble bibs, a Christmas decoration and a really cute pair of hand knitted, sheepskin lined booties that I would never have splashed out on if it wasn't Christmas. They are now in a box frame on his bedroom wall!

worley · 28/10/2013 11:10

truffleshuffle have 20% off today. Just got ds1 (15) a tshirt.

creepycadence · 28/10/2013 11:11

Courtesy of amazon lightening deals dd3 now has a mamas and papas highchair for her doll (£6) Halloween Smile

LottieDidIt · 28/10/2013 11:17

Nix01 I think the toucanbox deal may have ended? I saw it on my phone last night but when came to redeem it this morning it had gone!!
If you search for Wrappz on the App that comes us with an offer for a free phone skin.

LottieDidIt · 28/10/2013 11:23

For those who have bought the Neds wristbands - who/what age have you bought them for? I really like the look of them but not sure who to buy them for? I'm wondering if they might be a good stocking filler for my nieces who range from 5 - 11 years with their names on them??

MinesAPintOfBlood · 28/10/2013 11:26

Girl I made and filled a stocking for DS: some clothing, a board book, a little set of bath boats, a little rattle and a teddy poking out of the top.

BeaWheesht · 28/10/2013 11:33

Ds was 2 days old for his first Christmas - he got a Santa suit, my first Xmas bear and a rattle.

Dd was 3 months and got rattles, a personalised soft doll, bath toys and clothes.

Anyone got any idea for a VERY cheap present for my nephew who is 3 and niece who is 2? I've bought them a book each, a duplo big set each and a colour in playhouse to share but want a 'filler' present as their mum always buys my kids loads! I'd bought them a couple of the cheap frog aprons but mil has bought them fancy ones!

My Asda has 3 annuals for £10, I got horrid Henry, Star Wars and the broons. There was hello kitty too and a few others. There were also Spider-Man figures for £4.50 and jake and the never land pirates big doll with sword reduced. Oh and sticker books for £1 and Disney planes foam planes for £1.

BeaWheesht · 28/10/2013 11:44

missmakestuff this. Is a Barbie camera doll reduced from £70 to £24.99???
