We are buying each other Apple TV. Last year we bought each other a fancy coffee machine which we love.

jennimoo · 14/10/2013 20:05

I don't know about this year but last year I got him this beer making kit:

www.brewuk.co.uk/store/featured/coopers-beer-starter-kit.html

He's since brewed another few beers and absolutely loves it!

whattodoo · 14/10/2013 20:06

Cufflinks with DD fingerprint. We're getting married in April, so I wanted something special to wear.

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 14/10/2013 20:10

A posh(ish) leather(ish) computer chair (he spends ages playing things like WoW and then complains his back hurts...)

soontobeslendergirl · 14/10/2013 20:19

An Ipod classic for his birthday at end of November and a docking station for it for Christmas - he's asked for a new iron though Hmm

soontobeslendergirl · 14/10/2013 20:20

oh and he's also asked for Mad Men Series 5 (and series 6 if cheap enough)

schnockles · 14/10/2013 20:33

A North Face or Berghaus light jacket. And probably a few CDs.

Shakey1500 · 14/10/2013 20:35

We decided the one thing each other really bloody wanted was time. So we're booking an el cheapo city break for January. DS will spend two nights with my sister and t'other with my parents Grin

That is, if we can decide where to go Confused

Iamsanta · 14/10/2013 20:41

We hardly buy anything for each other...maybe a joint gift but mostly concentrate on DCs. This year though he wants a new iPod shuffle, his old one is very old and he's training for the London marathon so I think he deserves it! Wink

tumbletumble · 14/10/2013 20:43

Tickets to a comedy show. I'll sort out a babysitter and we'll go out for dinner beforehand.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 14/10/2013 20:45

I'd love to buy him a Polo Ralph Lauren Windbreaker Jacket but alas far too expensive (about £170) to be a reality this year and for the forseeable. Sorry DH Sad you'd look really edible in it too!

Good luck present hunting OP.

Marks place for stealing bargain ideas inspiration

This year he's getting a nespresso machine for his office. One of his colleagues has one and he is deeply jealous. Got a great deal on one a couple of months ago. Last year I got him a beerbods subscription (saw it mentioned on here). He LOVED it. Would thoroughly recommend.

ElectricalBanana · 14/10/2013 20:48

Kindle fire... Already got it. Sent to Santa

He has no idea what to get me and tbh I am not bothered. He owes me a birthday present. I have no idea what he can get me!

ALittleBitOfHalloweenMagic · 14/10/2013 20:49

What's beerbods ? Blush

Last year I got us him tickets to see Bruce Springsteen but money is a bit tighter this year but I don't want my present to be shit in comparison Confused plus he always puts me to shame he is fab at present buying !

Beerbods

You sign up for twelve weeks and get 12 bottles of different beer delivered to your door. Every Thursday everyone who is subscribed drinks their beer at the same time and tweets about it/instagrams it/just enjoys it!

IsleOfRight · 14/10/2013 20:52

A Lege mini figure display case

IsleOfRight · 14/10/2013 20:52

Lego

LittleMissWise · 14/10/2013 20:54

I haven't a clue and I have to do 2 Christmases!

DH will be away on the day so I need to send something smallish he can open. But he is coming back a month later so sweets, edible goodies etc are a bit useless and 'meh', and I have to think of the weight allowance for the flight back.

Then we are doing 'proper gifts' when he gets back towards the end of January.

VivaLeThrustBadger · 14/10/2013 21:17

A decent quality remote control outdoor helicopter.

WidowWadman · 14/10/2013 21:58

I can never be sure whether he checks in on this. Just in case, I'm not going to buy him a banjo.

fuzzpig · 15/10/2013 09:53

Lego hobbit board game, geeky t shirt, DVDs

enormouse · 15/10/2013 09:59

New wallet, belt and cufflinks. Things he would buy himself but begrudges the cost.

Cufflinks from here www.etsy.com/ie/listing/125262033/vintage-typewriter-single-initial?ref=shop_home_active&ulsfg=true

hellymelly · 15/10/2013 10:05

I have bought mine a pocket microscope (like a pen), as he is a biologist and will enjoy using it when out on walks etc. Also a small scythe! Some poncy nuts (piedmont hazels) that I will probably steal, and some thing else I can't remember. Will probably get some books, and maybe a jumper. I try and do a stocking for him.

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 15/10/2013 10:06

Some things from The Happy Puzzle Company and a thick winter jumper...maybe something tasty too (hes got a lindt habit!)

RevelsRoulette · 15/10/2013 10:10

Same thing I get him every year. A bottle of Joop or similar scent.

It lasts him till his birthday in July, when he gets... a bottle of Joop or similar scent.

And then it's Christmas again. When he gets... a bottle of Joop or similar scent.

Perhaps one year I should buy him a rubber chicken or something, just for the look on his face. Grin
