I am getting dp Hugo boss sweatpants (decadent relaxation) and some bits and bobs. He will get a big present (watch) in February as a birthday/year of new business thing.

UsedToBeNDP · 15/10/2013 10:24

H's birthday and christmas are quite close together so it's always a bit of a pita to sort out 2 ideas. I know he wants a very specific golf club (a new driver, I think), so that's on one of the lists. Probably birthday as Christmas wise, we either do a joint present or have a £50 budget for each other as in years prior to either of those plans things have got a bit out of hand.

pokesandprodsforthelasttime · 15/10/2013 10:26

He wants a juke box that plays vinyl. We live in a tiny 2 bed. I'm not sure where he thinks we're going to put it Hmm

jetstar · 15/10/2013 10:44

some good ideas here Smile thanks!

I usually get books or dvds for dh

Eoin Colfer "Warp" book
Cycling shorts
Liq allsorts
Coke bottle with his name on it
new wallet

other random crap to fill it out....

Madamecastafiore · 15/10/2013 14:30

A travel bag from Barbour
Pack of Boden Socks
Voucher for a proper wet shave in posh place near his office
Picture in acrylic of DCs for his desk
Big Tomato Mug (get him one at every opportunity as I like them)
Handkerchiefs

lillajag · 15/10/2013 15:00

Haven't really thought about it. Probably something a bit more expensive as his birthday is a fortnight after Christmas and our anniversary a week after that. (And Valentines..)

I'm waaay too lazy to think about three (or four) personal things for a man who's got everything he needs/wants.

Maybe a Kitchen Aid or a Golden Retrivier puppy :)

elQuintoConyo · 15/10/2013 15:26

Guitar stand. Guitar currently lives in futility room constantly knocked by washing machine/ironing board/ds's shoes. Then he can stand it in the living room.

May get him chocolates although he hasn't got much of a sweet tooth. I shall go nuts at car boot sales and get a bundle of books on all sorts of themes as he likes beingsrprised with books.

I'd like a fully fixed fanjo, doubt DH could get me one anywhere Sad

pinkandsparklytoo · 15/10/2013 17:54

I am considering getting mine a massive joint of ham on the bone. He would love it Grin

ScarerAndFuck · 15/10/2013 18:04

I was only half listening to him going on about something he wanted, so now have some vague idea that he asked for a light up knob with numbers on it.

I have absolutely no idea what else he said, just a half formed recollection of "...blah blah...numbers on it...blah...lights up at night...blah blah...knob...blah blah...about fifty quid...blah"

Google has not been my friend.

So I think he might get a new flask and some underwear and a dressing gown and I'll get DS to draw something so I can frame it.

TwoStepsBeyond · 15/10/2013 18:46

pinkandsparkly I thought you were getting him a massive joint for a second there!

My DP is buying himself a Playstation and has asked me to wrap it up for him, so that's nice and easy! I will also buy him something daft and cartoony, make him something special (painting or drawing) but I will watch this for inspiration.

He has offered to buy me a Roomba! I really really want one, but not sure I can cope with being given a hoover for Xmas!

HardFacedCareeristBitchNigel · 16/10/2013 00:56

DHs pushbike is in a terrible state of repair after he left it in the garden over the winter last year. Im getting it refurbished with BILs help

CrotchStitch · 16/10/2013 09:57

I am very organised this year and know exactly what he is having :)
A (nother) new shirt. Long sleeve, checked to add to his vast collection of long sleeved check shirts TBH it saves me ironing them that often the more he has :o
Joules socks
Wildflower grenades because he loves wildflowers and is a very law abiding conservative sort. I can however see him sneaking round the countryside with a grenade in his pocket :o
Mint imperials a sign of impending old age IMO
Subscription to The Field magazine

mumtoone1 · 16/10/2013 10:31

Concert tickets to see his favourite band, set of books and a dvd. I'll probably pick up little bits and bobs like chocolates and novelties.

FTRscreamingInTerror · 16/10/2013 10:38

New tt dressing gown
Stainless steel wallet
Assorted crap Smile

CurseOfCurves89 · 16/10/2013 10:47

Concert tickets, signed breaking bad script and a book that morrissey wrote about James dean.
He wants FIFA and GTA but he can fuck off, I'd rather actually see him again.
