Anyone spotted any. Craft chests etc on your hunts? I'm keeping an eye out but nothing massively on offer.

Also any suggestions for dd who will be nine months old at Xmas?

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 24/07/2013 11:04

I'm putting an arts and crafts set together for my then 6yo DD's christmas. Will probably end up being her main present from me and her dad and FC will bring her her chosen present long as it isnt the iphone she's recently pestered me for. she can jog on for that So far got stuff from Home Bargains, 99p store, amazon and the works.

MooseyMoo · 24/07/2013 11:07

At my local Sainsburys, they were stacking shelves with lunch boxes 25% off), stationery and craft packs (BOGOF)

iloveholidays · 24/07/2013 13:07

RatBag, these aren't on offer but wanted to say that I got these draws for DD1s birthday for her art and craft stuff and they're fab. Draws come out which we find useful.

We got ours in Hobbycraft.

delivery wasn't free for me moosey, is there a code for that?

OP posts:
MooseyMoo · 24/07/2013 15:44

It should be free. Just checked their FB site and a few comments that people are being charged for postage. They've been told to contact customer services on 08442439266

Reastie · 24/07/2013 15:49

Ignore me moosey, it took the £5 off once I'd got to the final checkout and given all my details. Got a robin mug for a friend called Robin Grin . Hope it's not too secondsy IYKWIM though or I may be forced to keep it . No word back from tassimo btw on the battered box coffee maker.

DTisMYdoctor · 24/07/2013 23:28

Don't know if this has been posted already, but some of Sainsburys crafty stuff falls within their current buy one get one free back to school promo - useful for stocking fillers maybe.

NigellaEllaElla · 24/07/2013 23:29

I've just had to buy that now too! Wink

zipzap · 25/07/2013 00:26

It's worth keeping an eye on the clearance shelf in Sainsbury's toy sections if you have one. There seems to be a slow but steady trickle of things coming out with 70% or more off - unfortunately I saw the shelf ticket for a multipack of hotwheels cars down to about £1.50 but was too late for the cars themselves (it's a particular box set, not all of them, they have some normal price ones too so don't pick them all up thinking they are cheap!). Also lots of Minnie Mouse stuff - both plastic play sets and small soft toys, including minnie wearing a union jack dress.

In the past I've had fab bargains (not always priced on the shelf itself, worth asking at the desk) from the toy clearance shelf at Sainsburys, including star wars lego things a pound instead of £10 and car sets for a pound instead of about £7, plus 2/3 off playmobil stuff...

Reastie · 25/07/2013 06:30

thanks moosey, just written a post and deleted it from my timeline but now can't find the message on tassimo page so not sure if it's deleted entirely Confused . Have to wait and see if I get a response.

Ooh Nutty, I've been after that advent calendar if I found it around the £10 mark. But I've already got 3 advent calendars, 2xPlaymobil and a Lego one. One each for the dc. Buying another to put away for Christmas 2014 seems s bit mad even by my standards. Grin Great price though.
