Amazon for me too. Got some great deals, and they were all delivered within a couple of days.

Afrodizzywonders · 22/12/2012 15:32

Yes, Book People were really good as well....forgot about them! Madness as I've had lots of deliveries from them!

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 22/12/2012 15:33

Smyths for toys

Debenhams for clothes

Book depository for books

DorisIsWaiting · 22/12/2012 15:40

Tesco was a nightmare for me with the clubcard deals so they are on my black list but Amazon have been fab. (wishes they would pay a reasonable level of tax to ease my guilt)

PetiteRaleuse · 22/12/2012 15:44

Amazon are great. Have heard so many good things about The Book People but they don't deliver to France :(

bedmonster · 22/12/2012 16:44

On the whole amazon have been reliable but have had one or two issues. I have had to chase up at least 3 of my orders which were over 2 weeks late and ended up cancelling one due to finding one in the shops before the new delivery date, something which was due for delivery on tuesday didnt arrive and they emailed me saying they'd cancelled the order as there was a problem with the delivery address (there wasn't) and then came home to find 2 3DS bundles with games and extra games all to the value of over £500 left on the doorstep (busy road, no porch, in full view). Not sure what the protocol od for signing for things with amazon?
Other than those few little things though they have been prompt and cheap as usual.
Molton Brown and Cox & Cox both very speedy this year too.

superwhizzynewlaptop · 22/12/2012 16:45

Amazon are great, never had a problem once and use them a lot.

Gap for clothes are great - often have a free delivery code, always free returns. Prompt refunds for returns.

everydayaschoolday · 22/12/2012 19:39

Red House (Children's books, affiliated to Book People) - always quick, well packaged, and email to tell you it's dispatched. Love them, so reliable and excellent prices.

Tesco grocery delivery went well today - only a couple of (good) substitutions so am pleased. Also did well in clubcard rewards and got 2 iTunes cards promptly dispatched. And Tesco Direct were v quick with a well packaged PS3 Assasins Creed 3 game that was competitively priced.

Snapfish (photo gifts) had great deals on the run up to Christmas and dispatched quickly. Well packaged as ever, and email to confirm when dispatched. Always reliable and a favourite for me every year for grandparents pressies. Love them.

everydayaschoolday · 22/12/2012 19:40

oops sorry, am I allowed to vote for 3?? Xmas Blush

LaTrucha · 22/12/2012 19:45

Debenhams - never a single problem. Mor eimportantly, there is usually a free delivery code which is almost always the decider for me.

Jojo Maman Bebe good too.

Celtic Sheepskin were terrible.

HoHoHokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 22/12/2012 19:48

Amazon, where can you buy plates, earphones, dvds and craft stuff in one order and with free one day delivery too.

They are brilliant.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/12/2012 00:18

QVC.
I've shopped with them for over 15 years.
I'm a bit Hmm at their P&P charges (should be free for customers like me Grin ) but having said that:

Once I ordered an item, it was packed and sent to me (I wanted to wrap it to send to my mum).
It cost me twice as much to sent it Royal Mail to her than it did for QVC to pack and courier it to me.

TenPercenter · 23/12/2012 02:07

Haven't had any problems at all this year, ordered from amazon, the entertainer, home bargains, maplins and ebay.

TenPercenter · 23/12/2012 02:14

Also toysrus, ordered stuff which arrived in a timely fashion. Have only used argos for click and collect this year, but the new feature which automatically shows stock at your nearest stores when clicking on an item saves a lot of time and effort, so well done them.

We3bunniesOfOrientAre · 23/12/2012 08:21

Amazon - free delivery arrived within 36hrs. Sainsbury's DVD arrived less than 24 hrs later.

Badvocsanta · 23/12/2012 08:25

Amazon
The book people
Lush
John Lewis

Badvocsanta · 23/12/2012 08:26

Oh yes, jojo maman bebe were good.
Also dotcomgiftshop.
Debenhams usually pretty quick too.
So not use argos or asda online.
Trust me.

AmandinePoulain · 23/12/2012 08:27

Best : Tesco Clubcard, I converted some points to Prezzo vouchers for mine and Dh's birthday meal next Friday; I placed the order on Wednesday evening but worried a bit that they may not arrive on time it being Christmas and all but they arrived yesterday Smile.

Worst: Presents for Men - my order didn't arrive and they kept changing their minds about how long I would have to wait to make a claim Angry

To be decided : Tesco Grocery - my food is due this evening but every time I check out I think I've added to the order at least once a day for weeks something else is unavailable so I dread to think what'll be missing!

Beaverfeaver · 23/12/2012 08:39

John Lewis & Fat Face

trixymalixy · 23/12/2012 08:41

Amazon, wish there was an alternative, but they are far and away the best, you know you can rely on things arriving and the returns are just so straightforward.

Francagoestohollywood · 23/12/2012 08:42

Smallable and Amazon

PolkadotCircus · 23/12/2012 10:11

I hate to say this but Amazon(cheapest, fastest, stock availability,no postage etc) but was mighty impressed with Tesco clubcard. Had a few vouchers moldering away and dtwin2 wanted a Lego Monsters set which was v expensive everywhere(and out of stock).Tesco had it cheaper, then I converted my vouchers to get double. Codes were in my inbox almost immediately and it came the next day-yes really!!!!!Not enough to make me shop there weekly but I was impressed all the same.

John Lewis was let down again by their delivery-slow and crappy courier.Had Yodel woes with them last year, think it was Hermes this year.Said an Ipod had been delivered(it hadn't but caused a minor heart attack).Nice customer service but really JL considering how wonderful you are sort your delivery out and you need to price match Amazon(we're not all well heeled retirees living in Surrey).

PolkadotCircus · 23/12/2012 10:13

Book People are always fab-really wonderful company imvho. They give kids access to wonderful books at affordable prices, super delivery, lovely stock and lovely staff on the phone.
