Candy canes... what do I do with them???

So for years I've wanted to do something with candy canes at christmas so I finally bought a load... so what do I do with them???

Hang them on the tree

Add them to wrapped presents - I poke them under the curling ribbon.

stick them in hot chocolate, poking out of the squirty cream

Make this (assuming they are peppermint)

hang them on the tree, or when you wrap your presents tie one on with ribbon.

Ours are on the tree, lots of different sizes and flavours. Looks very cute. Have also stuck them on presents wrapped in brown paper with a wide cream ribbon and a skinny red one on the top.

eat them!

We put them in stockings. Also, the children have them in hot chocolate, they're crushed and melted. There's lots of recipes for this around.

I was going to make a candy cane sleigh with them

Where can you buy peppermint ones?

make some cute mice

I hang them on my tree, then DS eats them all

You can buy them in the poundshop,Spooky.

Pound shops are great for candy canes - a dozen or more for a pound..

Does anyone know where you can buy non minty ones? I hate mint, really hate it, but they look so pretty.

Kingdom of Sweets (we found it at Lakeside, new shop) does alot of American sweets.
I bought fruit flavoured candy canes there (£2 a box)

Aldi also sell fruit-flavoured ones.

Mr simms sweet shops sell them in lots of different sizes and flavours for 99p each.

Last years are still lying on the table in the conservatory. Melting when the sun comes out.

Thank you all, not sure if I will be able to get to any of those stores this side of Christmas but will bear them in mind for next year. Postage a bit prohibitive on the Jelly Belly ones but they look yummy!
