Morning all :)

I have a kindle in my basket, ready to go :o

Nice to see some Lego finally, but the sets aren't as good as last years by the looks of it :(

What will you have in your basket today?

I wanted a penguin :(

PixieHot · 23/11/2012 20:22

I'm not sure they're signed, Celtic. They're part of the signature series, but who knows what that means Confused. Also Confused as to why I care Grin.

catsareeasier · 23/11/2012 20:22

Not trying to start a bunfight, honestly, just curious at how quickly the mood changes. Of course I appreciate Amazon directly and indirectly (mostly indirectly) support jobs in the UK too. And the marketplace especially is obviously an important source of orders for small(er) UK business.

It's just the recent news, coupled with the number of comments above which seem to be along the lines of 'I can't get what I really want, but something not quite right is a bit cheaper than normal' just makes me feel that we're all being taken for a ride.

Each to their own, it's a democracy after all!

(sorry to dip in and out, no elves here sadly!)

WhispersOfWickedness · 23/11/2012 20:23

I wouldn't touch ITNG with a bargepole, pie, I am fairly relaxed when it comes to children's tv but that one had me wanting to boil my head in a pot just so as not to have to see/listen to it. So I might be biased when asking whether to actually put money towards it :o Blush

I've got 1D headphones in my basket for 1D mad DD1 but i can't decide if they are too much or not. Shame i bought the unsigned album a few days ago!

Piemistress · 23/11/2012 20:23

box set in my basket for another 10 mins, think i'll put it back as I really don't need it ! i'll feel alot better about my spending if I do that! house is a total tip so guess I don't have any more excuses to sit on my butt! Flipping shattered though after DD was up most of last night just babbling in her cot and blowing raspberries

PixieHot · 23/11/2012 20:23

SoggyBottom, One Direction (the boy band) = Wand erection (a rude joke) Smile.

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 23/11/2012 20:24

Well pissed off with that-wanted the album, sat hovering with my finger over it, for it not to change until 19 minutes past, when they all had gone [anger]

NoSoggyBottoms · 23/11/2012 20:24

Celtic I'm betting that the mystery item at 9pm is a Playstation Vita

NoSoggyBottoms · 23/11/2012 20:26

Pixie ahhh! I do know about One Direction (sadly) and understood wand erection....just never thought about putting them together lol Thanks for explaining Grin Sad that I must be at that age when things like that need explaining!

SuzySheepSmellsNice · 23/11/2012 20:27

That's what I heard soggy

bagpuss · 23/11/2012 20:28

Well I went to eat at 8 and saved myself over £100 so that can't be bad Grin.

Still waiting on the necklace and mystery item too Smile.

WhispersOfWickedness · 23/11/2012 20:29

Sorry, cats, we've just had a few people trying to pick fights with us this week, so we might be a little sensitive Blush
I really don't think this is the best place to raise the issue anyway, we are all aware of the issues, but really want these threads to be a lighthearted get-together of people looking for a bargain.
I said this earlier in the week, there are so many fights to fight, I guess the people on this thread have chosen other issues to put their energies so don't really need to be reminded repeatedly of this particular issue :)

PersonalClown · 23/11/2012 20:31

Tortoise · 23/11/2012 20:31

What to do, what to do!

SuzySheepSmellsNice · 23/11/2012 20:31

Looks like it Honey

Tortoise · 23/11/2012 20:32

Snap Personalclown!

NoSoggyBottoms · 23/11/2012 20:33

Well said Whispers Smile

....Not much left now! And then the 'dregs' weekend! Wonder if they mght sneak another bargain or two in though?

WhispersOfWickedness · 23/11/2012 20:33

Imp - can't believe someone put wipes in the basket and then turned them down Shock They are something you need, rather than want, so surely if you put them in your basket, you do actually need them Confused

OP posts:
SuzySheepSmellsNice · 23/11/2012 20:33

£47 is quite good for boots...

Indith · 23/11/2012 20:34

Argh! Don't suppose anyone got a helicopter they don't want? Came straight up with waitlist full for me, I didn't even have a fraction of a second to click :(

What's the point of fibreoptic broadband huh?

SlightlySuperiorPeasant · 23/11/2012 20:34

Amazon is run by Oompaloompas, not elves. Duh. And, for a limited time only before he got fired Hmm, my 6'4" BIL.

So, at 8pm I got the Brio, flashy light ball thing, Chuggington, some kitchen tongs, nappies and a fire engine in my basket. I put it all back except the tongs, then relented and ended up frantically adding back and buying everything except the Brio (we have enough to start our own local mouse commuting service) and Chuggington (DS doesn't watch it yet). The nappies aren;t the right size for DD but she'll grow :o
