on amazon now, which means it will probably be a real bargain in the black friday deals yesterday but if you cant wait or dont want to risk it, a bargain?

AmberLeaf · 22/11/2012 22:21

Cheapest I can see is £129

frazzled74 · 22/11/2012 22:23

Oh bloody hell I had just decided to by a Nexus for DS1. This is so bloody stressful.

DinosaursOnAnAdventCalender · 22/11/2012 22:26

I was waiting until tomorrow to get one as a Christmas present for my mom, do you think I should hold out for it coming up as an offer on Black Friday or go for it now?

ChookKeeper · 22/11/2012 22:26

I just bought it for £99

AmberLeaf · 22/11/2012 22:28

Does that include a charger?

amarylisnightandday · 22/11/2012 22:29

Isn't Black Friday tomorrow?

frazzled74 · 22/11/2012 22:30

well if they reduce it tomorrow further i will be a bit peed off but not as much as if they dont and the price goes back to £129!

OP posts:
fishym2b · 22/11/2012 22:30

I have ordered one Smile can't see them reducing it any more tomorrow.

AmberLeaf · 22/11/2012 22:30

Black friday has been all his week.

Elderwand · 22/11/2012 22:36

I've ordered one....for that price thanxxxxx

AmberLeaf · 22/11/2012 22:36

Anyone know if it comes with a charger, because it keeps suggesting I buy one!

fishym2b · 22/11/2012 22:37

Amazon website saying it will stay that price till Monday.

MissAmandaJones · 22/11/2012 22:39

Thank you very much for this, have just bought one.

DinosaursOnAnAdventCalender · 22/11/2012 22:43

I was wondering about the charger.

I found this comment whilst reading the reviews:

Luckily I had already purchased a case/screen protector/stylus/charger on ebay (about £70 cheaper than those offered on Amazon at time of pre-order!) - because my stubby fingers found the stylus a much better control option. Just using fingers on the touchscreen proved a little frustrating, because I kept accidentally touching links I didn't want (some of the links were quite small, even when magnified). You do need to purchase a wall charger, because charging from a P.C via the USB lead (which is included in pack) is a very slow process.

Which seems to suggest I need to get a charger for it?

DinosaursOnAnAdventCalender · 22/11/2012 22:45

And also this:

The Kindle is supplied with a USB lead for charging from a computer which is sometimes impracticle. That's why a mains charger would be useful as a separate purchase. I've seen these on Amazon for as little as £3.50.

AmberLeaf · 22/11/2012 22:46

Thanks for posting that Dinosaurs.

anja1cam · 22/11/2012 22:48

Just for info - I have a Nikon camera that came with a charger that takes a USB lead, and that happily charges my 'normal' Kindle off the mains as well. So as long as you have the USB cable you may already own a gadget that came with a compatible charger that you can plug the kindle cable into!

Now I'm seriously tempted by this offer - maybe a present to myself? Grin

DinosaursOnAnAdventCalender · 22/11/2012 23:00

I have ordered it, plus a charger for £6.95. I'm not sure my mom would have a USB attachment plug around anywhere and it's probably more convenient for her to be able to just plug it into the wall rather than into a laptop. I'm not even sure she has a laptop.

I will be disappointed if its really cheap tomorrow but never mind. My brother and sister both put money towards it too so there was slight pressure to get it bought which I've done and will stop checking amazon for price reductions now and relax.

MayTheOddsBeEverInYourFavour · 22/11/2012 23:03

Thanks so much frazzled, I'm really glad I waited to get one now Grin

rhondajean · 23/11/2012 07:31

Dino, check if it's on the deals, if it is you can firstly cancel your order if it hasn't been dispatched and secondly return it if is has. Amazon are great for that sort of thing.

I've found the £99 offer now, debating ordering it for DHs birthday in February...
