Has anyone had there match for Christmas appeal yet? I thought it was yesterday we heard by but not heard nothing yet.

Awaits email from MNSandy Santa as to what I am meant to be donating.

slatternlymother · 27/11/2012 16:46

Also agree with pie I don't want to offend by just sending a gift to the mother if there's a father as well; I just don't know.

Also I have teen girls to buy for. Does everyone think it's ok to go crazy in River Island this weekend or should I buy something more unisex? I'm dying to unleash my inner teen and go crazy; should I rein her in?

It's the first time I've done this and I'm so nervous my MNer is going to unwrap and think 'why has slatternly sent us these things?!'

christmaspuddingpippin · 27/11/2012 17:03

Sorry silly question but this is the first time I have done this and want to make sure I get it right. In my email under special requirements it says Ds 1, does this mean 1 ds or that they have a ds who is 1

FIFIBEBE · 27/11/2012 17:41

Is there any chance the original request message could be posted just to remind us (me) of the criteria. Have received my email and want to get it right.
TIA

MNP · 27/11/2012 17:46

Thanks for the email reminder MNSandy.

WineGless · 27/11/2012 18:01

SantaSandymumsnet- thanks for email and pm. All came at same time. Off to browse for something suitable - I love this!! X

cocoachannel · 27/11/2012 19:45

Hi Sandy. Should we put Mumsnet Towers as the senders' address in case of losses. My address doesn't seem quite right so will google the postcode but want to add a sender address just in case!

cocoachannel · 27/11/2012 19:46

Christmaspudding - I think it's the age unless my recipient has 8 sons!

thegreylady · 27/11/2012 19:59

Got mine and with a great spread of ages for dc.is it ok to put a little something in for the mumsnetter too?

thegreylady · 27/11/2012 20:00

I'm going with onesies for teen girls I think :)

NoBloodyMore · 27/11/2012 20:03

Hi Sandy, can I have a reminder of what I said I was buying? The person I'm sending to has 4 DC, do I just buy the one or something more general for all? Decisions Decisions!

cocoachannel · 27/11/2012 20:05

I was going to do the same thegreylady. Just some chocolates or bubble bath.

A quick look on Amazon and I'm stumped on what to get an eight year old boy. No DCs in my family except my Peppa Pig obsessed DD.

thegreylady · 27/11/2012 20:15

cocoa-Ninjago lego is good for that age.we have got dgs who will be 9 on 22nd [sob] some electronic drumsticks and a clock that yoy build from scratch and it works [I hope]

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 27/11/2012 20:18

Checked, I have my email from the Elves at MN Towers, yippee!!

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 27/11/2012 20:22

Coco, I always go Lego if ds is asked to a party and if I'm not sure what the boy is into, I think it's a pretty safe bet. Neighbours boys of that age also like moshimonsters, nerf guns and remote control cars. I have Ds 6 who is mad on Ninjago Lego ATM too!

muddydevilsonhorseback · 27/11/2012 20:26

just to let you know i haven't recieved my email yet to donate! Thanks.

cocoachannel · 27/11/2012 20:38

Thanks! Lego it is.

littlemoon14 · 27/11/2012 20:48

OP posts:
slatternlymother · 27/11/2012 20:49

thegreylady yes I thought that but then I worried about size etc.

cocoachannel · 27/11/2012 20:53

My nearly two year old loves Old McDonald's lotto at the moment littlemoon.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 27/11/2012 20:57

Oh I just love this, thanks Sandy for everything

Binfullofgibletsonthe26th · 27/11/2012 21:04

I have to send vouchers to be practical, I live outside the UK.

Would any one be miffed if they received a voucher to spend on their DC's?

I was thinking ELC or WH Smith, then they could choose between books and games, or crafts?

Or does that sound like a cop out? I did say vouchers on my entry.

BellaVita · 27/11/2012 21:07

I received my match today too Grin

everydayaschoolday · 27/11/2012 21:10

Hey Giblets Grin

I think vouchers would be very well received. Gives people the maximum flexibility. Not a cop out at all.Smile

BellaVita · 27/11/2012 21:10

Ditto Pistey.
