they'll be there at midnight

SweetMingePie · 19/11/2012 17:59

looks like a late night tonight then.

PrattingAroundTheChristmasTree · 19/11/2012 18:02

Yes! I missed the light wand which I was waiting for, so was on the waiting list and I got it :) and DH will be very happy I got Victoria Pendleton's book.

nappybrain · 19/11/2012 18:04

Do the Strongest Offers change every day please? Novice here !

AmberLeaf · 19/11/2012 18:08

I think the deals were fairly underwhelming TBH!

I admit I didnt look at any where near all of them, but I cant get excited about a 22% reduction.

I got a great 50% off deal on a toy for DS last year, so I had high hopes, ah well, I'll keep looking.

minsmum · 19/11/2012 18:08

Well I got the light wand and keep looking at things I don't want or need. Last year I bought the tassimo coffee thingy and its fabulous.

DorsetKnob · 19/11/2012 18:12

I am waiting to see what the HiFi system goes for and the Zumba Wii.

CointreauVersial · 19/11/2012 18:12

WTF is a light wand?

I love Black Friday. Last year I picked up a couple of things, including anti-virus software; pretty dullsville, but something I needed and at a massive discount.

I have my eye on the men's running jackets coming up shortly, for DH's Christmas present, but they are megabucks, so I don't think a small discount will cut it.

Narked · 19/11/2012 18:13

I'm not buying from them again until they start paying tax.

CointreauVersial · 19/11/2012 18:16

Running jackets 58% off, but still £80.

spookysal · 19/11/2012 18:25

Pah about the tax.

If the government was bothered, they would shut down the loopholes that allow tax avoidence to happen. And the reason they don't is because it would piss off too many of their rich friends. The whole system is corrupt. Just like every other country in the world.

Getting my knickers in a twist by refusing to spend £7.88 on Amazon isn't going to make one iota of difference to the way a massive company like Amazon does business.

And I'm not daft enough to cut off my nose to spite my face.

SlightlySuperiorPeasant · 19/11/2012 18:29

I got a bath bomb set; it will do for SIL2. Ummed and ahhed over the running shoes until I saw sense and accepted that as I get shin-splints I really do need to get some which are properly fitted.

bagpuss · 19/11/2012 18:34

Not bought anything yet but I am Grin at the reviews for the bic pens!

I was hoping the kindle cases would be a little bit better than they were and missed out on the le creuset earlier Sad.

AfternoonsandCoffeespoons · 19/11/2012 18:37

Reporting it. Its only flipping Monday, but so far I have bought wellies for me and DS; pink sketchers (also for me!); and the Jillian Michaels DVD (um....also for me Blush). I'm supposed to be christmas shopping FFS. Need to be a bit stronger tomorrow or I will be very skint very soon!

Tortoise · 19/11/2012 18:39

I wanted the skechers but don't have much money until Thursday. Need to keep back as much as possible in case something good comes up!

AfternoonsandCoffeespoons · 19/11/2012 18:43

The Sketchers are lush, aren't they, Tortoise - and actually a bargain, unlike alot of the stuff today Hmm. I'm very excited. But yeah, hoping things will improve as the week goes on, so also need to hold back a bit now.

clare8allthepies · 19/11/2012 18:43

Just got 6 week 6 pack DVD for £3.50, now all I've got to do is finish the shred and summon up the energy for this one! Smile

Tortoise · 19/11/2012 18:53

Only 28% claimed so far so will they possibly be back on in the week? I can't remember from last year.
Annoyingly i have £200 in paypal but Amazon don't take it and transfer to bank takes 3 days. Will have money Thursday anyway so not worth transferring.

DorsetKnob · 19/11/2012 18:54

I bough the sketchers, need a good trainer to walk to work in, bargain.

SweetMingePie · 19/11/2012 19:08

Tortoise, paypal transfers are instant ow! I only found this out on Friday when I transferred some money and got an email saying it could take 2 hours, but when I checked my bank it was there.

NoSoggyBottoms · 19/11/2012 19:23

Tortoise was also going to reply that PayPal transfers to bank account take 2 hours. Bloody lifesaver!

Interested in the UDraw thing coming up soon...

AmberLeaf · 19/11/2012 19:25

Im Shock that amazon don't take paypal!

Tortoise · 19/11/2012 19:40

Shock really? That's fab. Wish I had know earlier.
Off to sort it now!

rhondajean · 19/11/2012 19:43
