Beawheesht you were asking about Fuzzy felt sets? I saw small stocking filler size unbranded sets in The Works and Poundland for 99p. They had a ballerina one, a farm one, can't remember the others, but a few different varieties. I think they have them online if you look at The Works website.

Folicacid · 06/11/2012 20:59

Marking place waves

lizmarshmallow · 06/11/2012 21:07

not sure if this will be of any use to anyone but the link below gets a free spiral picture book at photobox instead of the usual 30 prints. They're also on quidco;

www.photobox.co.uk/landing/free-spiral-photobook?channel=2463&cid=tasem01&ps=1

oreocrumbs · 06/11/2012 21:11

Have just spotted this on the book people site. Have bought a few as gifts.

DD has this book and it is beautiful, it is quite big, the illustrations are stunning and they are embossed. It looks like a very expensive book. £2.99 on the book people and 264XMAS for free del.

oreocrumbs · 06/11/2012 21:15

Have also bought a few novelty books for the men folk. Things like How to outwit Aristotle, uglier than a moneys armpit, and the secret lives of numbers. All hardback and around the £3/4 mark.

Thought they would pad out the very meagre piles my men have compared to my ladies Grin

RugBugs · 06/11/2012 21:55

No idea if this is just my local store but popped into mothercare this eve to pick up some games and they were half price (I knew this) but also came up as bogof so we have two games for £6 plus my 25% discount!

spookysal · 06/11/2012 22:22

oreocrumbs - Thanks for the link, the animal tales book looks lovely. What age range would it suit?

BuffyFairy · 06/11/2012 22:29

Moosey, you have been amazing on these threads Thanks thanks for the tip about Look mag.

Did that Vtech code at Asda start working?

I have a spare mothercare / elc 25% off code if anyone needs it.

AudrinaAdare · 06/11/2012 22:30

DS will love that book oreo Thanks

oreocrumbs · 06/11/2012 22:30

DD is 2 she got it when she was 1.5, I have just bought it for a 3.5 yr old too. So I would say up to 5/6 really. The book people were listing it as suitable for age 3+

It is four stories, which are quite sweet but the pictures are stunning. DD isn't interested in the story yet, but enjoys sitting and going through the pictures and identifying things, so I wouldn't worry about getting it for a young one.

oreocrumbs · 06/11/2012 22:32

To be fair if there is no Gruffalo in a story then my DD isn't intresed in it full stop Grin

oreocrumbs · 06/11/2012 22:35

It has 3 stories not 4 sorry! - just picked it up to have a look, think we will read that again tomorrow.

BeaLola · 06/11/2012 22:38

Talking books & Book People FWIW I bought the Noisy Peter Pan book:

www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&productId=197700&searchTerm=peter pan

& it is really beautiful - if my DS dosn't like it I will keep it for me !

BeaLola · 06/11/2012 22:41

meant to add for Persued by Penguins that you could try feelunique.com forClarins offers - haven' looked lately but got some great sets on there in summer for a really good price.

BeaWheesht · 06/11/2012 23:18

Zulily has various Megabloks Halo sets- most are cheaper than amazon if you use a mumsnet 20% code.

lizmarshmallow · 07/11/2012 07:21

My 15% off Gap code is back up for grabs as poor shufflebums coat is out of stock Sad

LaTrucha · 07/11/2012 07:21

I didn't realise the 10% extra in Gap was only in store. I spent ages trying to find four things yesterday! Oh well, I got new cami tops for me for about 6.50 each and as I'm still in my baggy maternity ones two and a half years after last DC was born, that can't be bad!
