PersuedByPenguins · 10/11/2012 23:16

Don't suppose there are any sites offering % off to new customers? Really want to get DS the Skylanders Giants Starter pack for wii but it's RRP everywhere I have looked!

doublecakeplease · 10/11/2012 23:27

Not using my ELC code : 3BED-PEKR-6OPF-94ZN-ZSS6 :)

fluffypillow · 11/11/2012 00:09

Persuedbypenguins......I've just used a 'very' code for new customers. They sent it in the post. £30 off a £60 spend. I ordered my things, then it said I can either have the £30 added to my account, or put back on my card when the order has been processed.

I just checked, and they have the game you are looking for priced at £55, so I guess you'd only have to spend another £5 to get it for £30 (I think delivery is £3.95?) Anyway, see if the code works for you......2BLZX

You add the code after you've registered, before payment (a box on right hand side of screen).

trumpton · 11/11/2012 06:38

BeaWheesht · 11/11/2012 07:17

Fluffy pillow- that's a great idea re skylanders if it works - I've never had an account with very or similar before - are there any catches? Can you pay all at once ? Can you just close your account afterwards?

I would check on their website but it's currently crashed Hmm

confuugled · 11/11/2012 07:49

Play.com are currently holding a series of one day sales until Christmas, called something like their Monday mega sale or similar

They've had the first two - first one Had some skylander figures for half price (£3.50? £3.99?) so might be worth looking on their site tomorrow to see if any turn up - in previous years the same things often turned up 2 or 3 times in the 6-8 weeks they were doing it.

They also do a deal of the day sometimes they are repeated, sometimes not kicks self at missing a couple of nice thick hoodies for dh at £20 instead of £70. Today for example they have some scarves at £5 instead of £15 - £13. And ofcourse everything is free delivery. Last year I got some trespass fleece halfzip jumpers for £5 instead of £25 as another eg.

It's worth signing up for the daily reminder email as they do have some good bargains and the Monday deals often includes computer/wii/xbox/etc games, music, DVDs, clothing and stuff that is useful to get for men in general when they are hard to buy for.

They also do weekly bargains but the discounts aren't quite so mega!

(waves to reastie might be worth adding to your mega list of bargains?)

MooseyMoo · 11/11/2012 08:44

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 11/11/2012 09:19

And i mean the nice blue ones not the ones in the red boxes!

SurvivalOfTheUnfittest · 11/11/2012 09:20

Thanks Moosey. Was just trying to remember if there was a Debenhams code before spending £45 and had also forgotten about Quidco.

Went to ToysRUs last night - you have to take a voucher with you if going into the shop. Luckily, I waved my ToysRUs gold card and she gave it to me!

My DH is amazed by all of you! He suggests it's like some kind of secret money saving treasure hunt!!

I need to buy a load of Playmobil construction vehicles. I'm getting some on ebay second hand but if any of you see any reductions, I'd be grateful.

MooseyMoo · 11/11/2012 09:24

gregssausageroll · 11/11/2012 09:32

Does anyone know if you can register and shop with very without applying for a credit account? I was going to set one up in dh name but don't want him credit checked as I was earlier to get the 30 quid off.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 11/11/2012 09:35

Fifa 13 £29.99 on the ebay deals!
