Sob- delivery still 13.95. So I will leave it for now.

oreocrumbs · 30/10/2012 20:26

That seems very unfair. I ordered shoes, so they would be cheap to deliver, if you are getting a big toy it must be more. Suddenly the deals don't look so good, considering that Amazon et al offer free delivery and are usually close in price.

MistressIggi · 30/10/2012 20:28

Ooh I want musical biscuit tins! A tenner on the website so will haul myself to a store.
Have bought a Chas n Dave Xmas CD for £4 on Amazon Blush

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 30/10/2012 20:33

Oh, I bought an M&S musical biscuit tin to make up 3 for 2 last year, it was beautiful but the music was excruciatingly out of tune and awful, I donated it to a raffle.

SminkoPinko · 30/10/2012 20:33

I wanted a toddler's hoody and a small krooom cardboard castle so 13.95 really extortionate, imo. They look nice but not so nice I want to pay 1/3 more in postage.

Never mind. Plenty more fish in the sea thanks to these excellent threads.:)

MooseyMoo · 30/10/2012 20:36

sminko have you tried just ordering one, and separate order for other? As you only pay postage nice per day?

MooseyMoo · 30/10/2012 20:36

*once

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 30/10/2012 20:38

Oreo my 6 year old girl likes any sort of arty crafty stuff, playdough, Hama beads, colouring sets (not babyish ones), also Moshi Monsters, Lego, all sorts of small creature toys (Zoobles etc).

Aspiemum2 · 30/10/2012 20:43

My time to spa order arrived, well part of it. I have one free gift, delivered by courier at 8pm at night!! Do they normally dispatch separately? Seems expensive!

oreocrumbs · 30/10/2012 20:53

Thanks WhoKnows. I saw some sequin art sets advertised that I thought looked cool - would that be the sort of thing? No idea what they cost though, but I'm sure I can track down a bargain!

OhTheConfusion · 30/10/2012 20:58

Oreo, thanks I had looked on the website and my search returned a box of cadbury selection boxes Grin. I will do a store search as I can't think of one near me but heres hoping!

Sminto I have never paid more than £4.20 delivery from Zulily, it seems to be pure luck on the items :(

craftynclothy · 30/10/2012 20:59

Waitingforastartofall The stockings I made were huge as well. Pattern didn't look like it would be so big when it was just paper bu they're really deep. I've bought some pirate foam bath from Wilko's to try and fill them a bit. I also stick in some of the chocolate relatives buy Blush and any cards with money in go in them too.

SminkoPinko · 30/10/2012 21:02

Thanks, moosey. I did 2 orders and paid 3.95 delivery on first (but was able to use mumsnet20 code) then nothing on second. Not quite as bargainatious as I'd hoped but I like the items and have been looking out for the kroom castle.:)

SminkoPinko · 30/10/2012 21:03

Agree with Hama beads. Was babysitting the other day for 5 and 8 year old girls and I was amazed at how absorbing they found them.:)

MooseyMoo · 30/10/2012 21:06

Excellent sminko Smile I would have fainted at £13 postage!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 30/10/2012 21:11

Oreo - yes, that's the sort of thing, just need to check the label as some are more suitable for older children, I was looking at some myself a while ago, in fact might look for one for DD. She was given this for her birthday Paintastics which was a huge hit, I have bought them for several of her friends' birthdays since and they have been well received.

Waitingforastartofall · 30/10/2012 21:11

Good plan crafty might buy some matey that should fill half up they are cute though

MooseyMoo · 30/10/2012 21:11

oreo you're correct, I am addicted to finding bargains. Might need therapy after this thread!

VoldemortsNipple · 30/10/2012 21:13

I ordered shoes from zulily a couple of weeks ago. I went to pay through PayPal and the postage was extortionate. I went back looking to see if there was a cheaper postage option but couldn't find it without going to checkout. So I clicked to pay using my debit card and delivery came up as 3.95.

Parrish · 30/10/2012 21:21

Oreo can you post the play doh link again? Thanks!

iloveblue · 30/10/2012 21:25

Yes, I had a similar problem with Zulily. Went to pay for some books via Paypal and they were going to charge me £10.95 for postage. I emailed them and was told to use my debit card but the deal had finished by that time.

iloveblue · 30/10/2012 21:30

For those who are after craft sets Fred Aldous are doing free postage on orders over £10. They have loads of hama bits, plus lots of sale stuff. I've just noticed they've got Uni-ball scented pens reduced to £1 each which my DS's would love.

oreocrumbs · 30/10/2012 21:36

Play doh. This was posted earlier on the thread and I bought it for DD. I'm very happy with it. A great starter set and a really good price, was over £30 on Amazon when I bought it.

I've had a look at the sequin art and they are a bit more than I wanted to pay (her baby brother is getting the £2.75 gruffalo book!). The paint by numbers thing looks good, so I might go with that. Off to have a look around Fred Aldous too. Thank you!

Looby12 · 30/10/2012 21:37

Eddas · 30/10/2012 21:43
