DS1: He's fourteen and is getting a-
Chelsea Kit (everything in it)
Chelsea bag
Ipod Nano
Guess what team he supports?

DD1: (10)
New prosthetic leg (it's shared from me and all her grandparents, as good prosthetics are expensive)
Glow-in-the-dark face paints
Converse boots (to fit around her new leg!)
Nail varnish

DD2 (4)
Baby Annabelle and pram
Play doh
Fur Real Bear
Wooden farm set thing

They aren't getting much individually this year becase of a special gift...(drum roll....) a DOG! Not actually as a Christmas present (obviously), but we have contacted a rescue with new puppies who will be able to let us adopt a beautiful spaniel pup called Scampi, and though it's not a surprise, we're collecting Scampi on (hopefully) Christmas Day (they aren't anywhere near old enough to be taken home yet), early morning. So they'll be getting a lot of doggy things, and a new best friend! [hsmile]

For 3yo DD

Stocking will contain, purple yoyo, giant lollipop, stickers, satsuma, chocolate coins, socks, a purple towel (she has specifically requested the towel and yoyo)
Big present is a pram and dolly.

Now that would normally be it, but she has outgrown her balance bike so I may get her a big girl bike, as she calls it.
I don't want her getting big presents like a bike out with Christmas and birthdays and as her birthday is not until July, Santa may be bringing a bike as well.

18mo DS will be getting a similar stocking and his main present is a wooden tool kit.

They'll get jammies on Christmas Eve from us, by way of a hamper that the elf on the shelf will leave for them when he returns to the North Pole.

JoInScotland · 30/10/2012 19:36

We don't put sweeties in the stocking (it would save us a fortune if we did!) so for DS's stocking we have: Snap!, Heads & Tails card game, Hungry Caterpillar card game, sox and slippersox to fill it up a bit, skipping rope, a couple of nice pencils, as well as the traditional orange, apple and handful of nuts.

The "big gift" from Santa will be a marble run, and Mrs Claus is bringing vintage Fisher Price tea tray & teapot (goes with his other FP sets) and some fabric cinnamon rolls, petite fours, etc (made by myself).

There will also be books and homemade pajamas. My sewing machine will be very busy for the next 7 weeks!

Marne · 30/10/2012 20:06

I love reading what other people have bought Grin, layzee-it makes me sad that the nhs can not suply your dd with a good prosthetic leg, as a mum of 2 dd's with sn's i know how hard it is to get good equipment out of the nhs Sad, i'm sure your dc's will be very happy with their new puppy.

I took dd2's presents to my mums today (as its not safe to hide them here as dd found them last year) and i so wanted to play with them.

Wetthemogwai · 30/10/2012 22:26

I love the thought of a prosthetic leg wrapped up with a bow on under a tree Grin I'd make a special effort to keep the leg and the puppy separate though!
everyone seems to be getting fabulous presents, I feel a bit sly on dd now!

GoldenHandshake · 31/10/2012 16:14

5 year old DD:
SF canal Boat
SF otter family
SF ice cream van (notice a theme here?)
Disney Princess nightie
paper dolls set
Crayola drawing set
My naughty Little Sister book
I still need to get her an ice cream maker (got the SF stuff before she suddenly changed her mind and started to obsess about the ice cream machine- that'll teach me for being so organised!)

DS (18months at christmas)
Happyland trainset
ELC rocket
small Mickey Mouse doll
Mickey mouse ride and push along car
Happy Land car set
Dear Zoo PJs.
We're Going on a Bear Hunt book

They'll also both have an impressive haul in their stockings (hair bands, bracelets and stickers etc for DD, bubbles, bath duck and socks etc for DS).

It looks a lot when written down (to me anyway!) but actually I've got some great bargains thanks to Argos 3for2 offer, and the summer sales Smile

Marne · 01/11/2012 12:13

We store them at my mums house, we buy them quite a lot but we save all year (no going into dept) and they dont get much from family (my mum spends around £5-£10 on them and the same with my dad). We like to spoil them for 1 day but try and buy things we know will get played with (hate having tat lying around that doesnt get played with). All gifts are bought in sales or using voucher exchange at tesco (never pay full price unless i realy have too).

GoldenHandshake · 01/11/2012 12:24

Bumblequeen Most is stored in or on top of my wardrobe or at my mums house, the 'Love my Street' post office is suprisingly small (one fo the reasons I chose it) It is stored in a box that doubles as furniture for the post office, ingenious really :)

She receives gifts from grandparents and aunts and uncles too, she is thoroughly spoilt at Christmas, but we have a big clear out in November and any old toys she no longer plays with are given to the charity shop, to make room for new toys. Inevitably more comes in than goes out, but we have quite a good amoutn of storage in her room.

MyMamaToldMe · 01/11/2012 12:27

DD (4) is getting so far:

Playmobil Camper Van
ELC Dolls Mansion

TheWalkingDead · 01/11/2012 12:30

DS1 (will be 4)
Avengers Quinjet
Iron Man Repulsor thingy
Avengers sticker Book
Avengers "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" Volume 3&4 DVD
Leapfrog Tag Reading System
The Body, Space & Map books to go with the reading system
Room on the Broom book

DS2 (1.10)
Vtech Alphabet Apple
Little People Pirate Ship
Leapfrog Tag Junior reading system
Thomas Book to go with it
Tomy Megasketcher
A little board book

Just going to get a couple of cheap stocking fillers to go with them. The tag and maybe the tag reading system will be shared out with family as they don't know what to buy for him and they can just pay me back. It's DS1's birthday a few weeks before, so he'll have some other bits and bobs from that like those Avengers Battlers figurines (he's pretty into this and has been for a while), but I think I'll also buy some poster paints for both of them, as ours have gone all manky for some reason. It's so much harder to buy for DS2 as, due to the generosity and size of my family, we have a lot of age appropriate things from when DS1 was youngers. I am ridiculously excited about Christmas!

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 01/11/2012 12:32

Some stuff is stored in the drawers of our bed on my side, but the big stuff is in our garage, wrapped in bin liners. We only moved to this house in May of this year and have loads more space. No more "cupboard of pain" for us like in the last couple of houses, oh no Grin
