DD has lego friends vet
DS has scalextric set

Stockings both have
bobble bottle (both moan about water tasting weird in plastic/metal bottles and not allowed glass at school, hoping the filter will help)
desktop hetty/henry (they asked fc for hetty/henry hooverHmm but didn't specify full size)
dd facepaints, ds mario knex (their only other requests)
small lego set (always get this)
couple of crafty bits (always get this)
christmassy soap (always get this)
Couple of 50p bits of crap (bouncy balls, gliders etc - again always get a couple of cheap fillers that I'd never normally buy)

They also always get matey bubbles, box of santas friends, a tree decoration, choc coins and a toothbrush but I havent bought those yet. Oh, nor the satsumas!

Their main presents were £30ish each but stockings seem to be totalling at more, always do this and every year say I wont get so carried away with stockings...

mogandme · 27/10/2012 21:41

I have bought my 5 year old boy charge : gooey louie, lego sticker book, usborne sticker book - trains/trucks/tractors and a power ranger costume.

dementedma · 27/10/2012 22:02

Wow. Can't remember my Dcs getting as much as the above posts when they were little.
However, so far have got:
Dd1 - birthday 15 December -
Cookery book
Earrings
For Xmas - a book some stocking stuff
Dd2 -Hairdryer, book, stocking stuff
Ds1 - a book, a Nerf gun, a hex bug, some stocking stuff.
Looks like I have some way to go!

rhondajean · 27/10/2012 22:21

Dd1 who will be 13 mostly h clothes (boring). I'm thinking of a phone, as she doesn't have one yet.

iTunes voucher
Couple of CDs
Couple of DVDs
Drumstick pencils
Perfume
Converse boots
Etc etc

Dd2 is 8

Lots of monster. High dolls and players
My little pony castle and play sets
Brave bow and arrow and art set
Moshi monsters stuff

I always get them both pjs, slippers, housecoats, new bedding, a bath toiletries set from boots, selection box, annuals, Lindt Santa, choc coins.

Fluffyfish · 27/10/2012 22:28

Dd will be 2. She has a fab Lucy Cousins fairy tale book. A happyland bus a mug and placemat with her name in it and possibly a brio train for her train set. And for her stocking, a kids cd, a small kaleidoscope, a lovely plastic mini mouse plate from Disney store and a Peppa pig flannel.

Fluffyfish · 27/10/2012 22:29

Oh and for unborn baby due week before Christmas, gender unknown, some bath toys and a mirror toy for tummy time

Sagelyhaunting · 27/10/2012 22:33

Wow! Your children are all very lucky :)
I have birthdays on the 15 and 19/12, so each DS gets one big (by our standards) present for each plus one biggish one from Father Christmas.

DS1 5 on his birthday: Playmobil Pirate Ship
Christmas: A radio CD player and some CDs
Father Christmas: Not sure yet, either a robot or something Imaginext

Smaller presents (I will give a few for Christmas and more for his Birthday): Mega Blocks Police Vehicles set (bargain at 9.90!), Mister Maker Craft set, 2 Imaginext vehicles bought v cheaply on Amazon, Playmo British soldiers boat, Playmo dinosaur set (another Amazon bargain), A big set of colouring stuff, Horton DVD, The Jolly Christmas postman book

DS2 2 on his birthday: Ikea pop-up play tent and tunnel
Christmas: Ikea easel, Paper, Paints etc
Father Christmas: Undecided...

Smaller presents: Playdoh set, Playmo 123 bin lorry, A few books, Timmy Time DVD

I am struggling for DS2 as he has all of his brother's old toys to play with too!

Jcee · 27/10/2012 22:38

DD (3) is getting a kiddizoom camera (thanks to bargain thread) and a mini mouse umbrella (her request) and thats the extent of my shopping so far!

There is a book she has her eye on and keeps mentioning and I will probably get that as well as some chocolate coins, play doh, colouring books and felt tips for her stocking.

Taffraid · 27/10/2012 22:48

DS (almost 9 )

Man Utd annual
Match annual
MOTD annual
Football records book
MIB 3 DVD ( buying next month )
Loads of stationery stuff from Blott
Pads and pens
QBitz game

DD (6)

Moshlings Theme Park DS game ( GPs will get her this )
Moshi annual
Moshi sticker book
Acres of Moshi crap for stocking
Jolly Christmas Postman ( will give her this the week before )
Scooby Doo DVD
Fairy Dust necklace

Both have torches, cheap watches and yard long jellybeans for stockings.

Big present this year is the new Wii U for all the family, so no other big gifts planned.

MegBusset · 27/10/2012 23:21

DS1 and DS2 each get basically the same thing (two years' age difference and hell to pay if one gets something and the other does not - apart from big presents which obviously are shared!).

This year they are getting:

Vtech camera
Laser blaster
Science museum robot-making kit
Small Lego kit (Monster Fighters)
Hot Wheels car
Craft set
Annual (Beano / haven't decided yet) and books

Plus selection box and stockings. I have got everything apart from DS2's annual which is just as well as I have reached my Christmas shopping budget! Including stockings it's come in at about £100 each which I am pleased with.

Loshad · 27/10/2012 23:32

Am sat here in amazement at how much stuff you are all getting your dcs Shock do they really need all this stuff?, commercialism gone mad to be honest. Have four dcs aged 19-12, and have never bought them as much stuff as most posters on here, do they need it?, will they play with it?, will make make you skint?

LilQueenie · 27/10/2012 23:34

DD will be 17 months

loads of happyland playset stuff including fold out mat/storage box (bought half price in sales throughout the year)
mickey camera
a few board/sound books
remote minnie mouse car
pop up toaster set

first elc jigsaws
sesame st toys (eg cars and figures)
sesame st rockin ernie and grover mic to go with her birthday presents earlier in the year
2 massive ducks (god knows how she will fit in the bath with them!)

I also arranged a visit from mickey mouse a days before christmas. plus helium christmas balloons as she loves the ones on her birthday. Lots of christmassy clothes for wearing throughout december.

moonblushtomato · 27/10/2012 23:38

Bought a fantastic bargain today for DD from asda, Snowflake the cat - I think its Animagic or summat.

Reduced from £30 to £15!! Fab!

LilQueenie · 27/10/2012 23:47

aw moonblushtomato that is so sweet. It reminds me of a soft toy Ive had from I was a baby. A cat we named snowflake. Smile

TheReturnOfBridezilla · 28/10/2012 12:54

I rarely buy toys except for birthdays and Christmas so they don't already have too much and I have shopped carefully, not paying full price for anything so far. If I had four children they probably wouldn't have so much purely from a space to store everything perspective but a pile of toys on Christmas morning has always been the norm here and was in my childhood too. Judging by this thread it's not uncommon anywhere else either.

jester68 · 28/10/2012 13:34

Think that is plenty as they also get gifts from other family members.

My sister in law/bro are getting them some Pyjamas.

Partner's sister is getting eldest scooby doo figures and the youngest some duplo.

Then they usually end up with money from other relatives which we will get them to save for something for the garden or for tickets for a day out somewhere.
