Oh for goodness sake. Everything I want in Sainsburys is sold out. Angry

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/10/2012 09:46

I ventured into Sainsbury's sale 2 years ago, I was working nights and heard it mentioned so waited outside in the morning at 6am, my gosh I have never seen such brutal, grabby people. There were about 50 people with trolleys pushing against the door for opening times.
Parents were discussing strategies! Shock

One lady who's mum worked in store was on the phone to her pre filling a trolley before the doors opened via her mum.

I managed to get the last Buzz Lightyear and a good few other cheap bits but I'm still amazed to this day the brutal behaviour of some people when money is involved. There was shouting, tears, shrieking and everything. Most couples had a trolley each. I was not risking that again this year with a fully grown bump to protect. Grin

Frontpaw · 24/10/2012 09:46

Bother! Bad Sainsburys, bad! Wonder if they'll get more stock?

Piemistress · 24/10/2012 09:51

I was after the cash register but it was showing out of stock then suddenly changed to available, maybe someone has it in their basket but it timed out? Worth keeping an eye out and refreshing screen maybe?

ShoopShoop · 24/10/2012 09:57

I know this is probably hugely optimistic, but do Fortnum and Mason ever do any discount codes? Even if it were only for free delivery that would be great! I have my heart set on a Christmas Hamper Grin

Frontpaw · 24/10/2012 10:06

Hampers are a waste of money! Buy the hamper the put in all the things you actually like (why do they always have weird flavoured jams, odd preserved fruits and stuff that you haven't a clue what it is?)!

TheAngelsHaveTheOod · 24/10/2012 10:07

Marking my place and waiting for pay day

Frontpaw · 24/10/2012 10:08

What are two year old girls into these days?

boofysmum · 24/10/2012 10:12

If you are having a problem with checking out on personalised facecloths, please send a message and they will send you a invoice and match it up to your order. Not sure what the problem is :) Sorry.

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/10/2012 10:15

I have 2 x 2yo nieces. 1 has got a junior tag system from elc when the 20% discount was on and the other has got a fisher price babies cot for her dolly from the entertainer sale. Smile

Zorra · 24/10/2012 10:19

Eurgh, me too bullet, everything I want is sold out [hsad]

Frontpaw · 24/10/2012 10:22

Big wheel scooter? What the hell is that? I am currently pumping him for gift ideas. Some sensible, others not so...

MooseyMoo · 24/10/2012 10:24

The sainsburys sale is on until 6th Nov so keep checking for your items, they may come back in stock.

Lovely and quiet in my store. I got Helicopter and plane Zoom along buddies, shopping basket with plastic food, match and count puzzle, whale bath toy and baby jake loves peekaboo book all for £13.

Also went into Waitrose and they have tin of Quality Street for £4.49 and their own brand of christmas sweets on 3 for 2 (got butter fudge, salted caramel hazelnuts and milk choc jumbo raisins).

bullet what are you after? Can keep an eye out for you if you want?

CosmicCloud · 24/10/2012 10:27

Playmobil winter wonderland advent calendar down to £12.79 on amazon at the moment.

MooseyMoo · 24/10/2012 10:28

Frontpaw · 24/10/2012 10:29

Noooooo! I want one for me DS!

ShoopShoop · 24/10/2012 10:37

Haha frontpaw, but I'm the weirdo one who likes all those strange flavoured jams and chutneys! I know they're pricey but I'd love one as a Christmas treat Smile

2beornot · 24/10/2012 10:47

Been lurking her for a while and can finally give something back!!

Lakeland code EK7. Gets you £5 off a £25 send AND free delivery!

CiderwithBuda · 24/10/2012 10:59

Well I ventured to Sainsburys this morning. Not too bad at mine. People coming out with full trolleys at 8.30. I got a few things for nieces and nephews. Not sure if i should price check them against amazon and Argos! I might be disappointed.

I need now to actually sort out what I have. My sis has twins who will be 3 the week before Xmas so it's double presents for them. I might give them their birthday presents next week actually. Am going to Dublin anyway so will see them. It will mean I don't have to carry them when we go for New Year and will mean they won't be overwhelmed by loads at xmas.

2bearornot - thanks for the Lakeland code. Have the catalogue here beside me with a few things I need. Great timing!

bulletwithspookybatwings · 24/10/2012 11:00

Jake and the Neverland Pirates Bucky and Octonauts Peso Moosey Amazon have Bucky for the same price as Sainsburys but Peso is still full price. I was hoping the Batcave would be a bit cheaper on Sainsburys. I have bought so much for DS already it's probably a good thing!
Also I noticed a few of the Sainsburys toys have quite inflated original prices eg The Octopod is reduced to £24.99 for about £36, I have only ever seen The Octopod for sale between £24.99 and £29.99. [hhmm]

bulletwithspookybatwings · 24/10/2012 11:01

'from about £36'

bulletwithspookybatwings · 24/10/2012 11:02

Ooh thanks 2beornot, I have loads of lakeland stuff to get!

Doobydoo · 24/10/2012 11:04

Marking place!

BuffyFairy · 24/10/2012 11:15

I'm stuck working from home and waiting in for a delivery Sad my local Sainsbury is a mad house at the best of times.

BuffyFairy · 24/10/2012 11:17

Moosey I've been eyeing up that Happyland fairground for a while. Argos still have it at half price.

Gap have 30% off outerwear in store and online. Ends Tues.
