Has anyone seen any reasonably priced balance bikes. For a girl and preferably not wooden?
Also where can i see the scarves other posters are talking about? They seem to have passed me by! (Sorry for selfish post there)

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 23/10/2012 20:08

Hmm, there is that. Part of the problem is I am so indecisive about what to get everyone, not decided on main presents for the DCs yet, DH is hard to buy for and as for my parents

MooseyMoo · 23/10/2012 20:09

Folic I bought this [[http://www.amazon.co.uk/Melissa-Doug-14021-Cutting-Fruit/dp/B00272N8OY/ref=sr_1_2?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1351019228&sr=1-2 wooden fruit from Melissa & Doug for DD. it's really lovely, she loves chopping it. It often gets lowered in price on Amazon.

Same Melissa and doug fruit is cheaper on secret sales at the moment. You have to sign up but it free. I think it was £8! But I apologise if not! I've just been on and logged off so can't link.

Thanks for heads up on tesco exchange.

SPARKY20 gets you 20% off a £60 spend at Disney store (until 28th). And that's free delivery too. Some good bargains on there anyway.

MooseyMoo · 23/10/2012 20:42

Rats. I'm sure I just saw a WH Smith code on here and now I can't find it. Did I imagine it?

WineGless · 23/10/2012 21:25

I gave away my huge collection of happy land to friends earlier in the year.DS age 6 wanted to play with it this weekend and was VERY upset that it had gone. He was consulted at the time but was obsessed with Playmobil/Lego. Be warned Happyland addicts not to get rid of it too early Wink

Waitingforastartofall · 23/10/2012 21:28

I have a 10yr old stepdaughter who still plays with the younger ones happyland almost daily. V versatile

craftynclothy · 23/10/2012 21:29

skateboard we got dd2 the pink one from toys r us. It's half price at 24.99 and seems ok for the price. Dd2 is a short-arse though and only just fit it at 3, so depends what size you need

AndiMac · 23/10/2012 21:35

Usually I am a wait until December Christmas shopper, but I am appreciating all these good ideas and bargains coming my way! Only thing that can go wrong is that I forget where I've hidden the presents or forget them entirely and end up buying a bunch more stuff for Christmas for everyone!

Thanks to everyone that has put up bargains so far.

Folicacid · 23/10/2012 21:37

Thanks maybeamaybaby will get on to check out. Good username btw! And to mooseymoo too.

At what age do kids get into happyland? I've just got a one year old so but clueless but fer I'm missing out Wink

SayHelloToMyLittleFriend · 23/10/2012 21:43

Folic my dd is 13 months and I've bought her the happyland village and school bus for christmas. It says on the box from 18 months but I think she'll love it.

Dozer · 23/10/2012 21:54

Sainsburys online has wooden cutting fruit for £7, and somoeone here said their toy sale starts tomorrow.

Got few things in the Boots 3 for 2 toy sale online. They also have the disney (barbie-size) cinderella horse and carriage for £43.99, which is still v expensive IMO, but cheaper than have seen elsewhere.

Folicacid · 23/10/2012 21:55

Thanks sayhello, i like the look of the village. She got the playmobil zoo for birthday.

Chockywockydoodah · 23/10/2012 21:57

[moosey] good Happyland purchases! You/she won't be disappointed :)

My DD absolutely loves her Happyland set, it's her most played with toy and she has gradually made up a whole little village with new bits and bobs given over time for birthdays etc. she even has the mat with roads and a pond etc.

I think I got her her first set (funfair) and market stalls with other village bits at around 15-18 months. Around this time last year.

Whenever we go to the ELC shop she is always drawn to the pirate ship and bluebell boot but doesn't have them in her collection (yet)!

SayHelloToMyLittleFriend · 23/10/2012 22:00

I've just been reading about the village on the website and it has 10 characters with it too, I didn't think it would have that many. It's hidden at my mum and dads house at the minute so haven't had a proper look at it. I also like the look of the zoo and the castle alhtough the castle didn't have great reviews.

Pastabee · 23/10/2012 22:04

I've got my 13mo Happyland too. I know it says 18 months but there are no small parts so she can just grow into it. It is always recommended on the 'what shall I get for DC's 1st birthday threads'.
