My word! I've just taken all of my shopping up to the top floor to sort out. I've gone a bit mad Blush.

Have roughly sorted into piles for everyone and my pile is the biggest Grin. May have to put some of that stuff onto other peoples!

So despite saying I would be very frugal with DD the child who has everything, I seem to have ordered quite a lot Confused.

The poor menfolk don't have much, while all of the ladies have gorgeous piles of luxuary bargain presents.

We need to up the ante on the mens gifts.

Also teenage DSD. Her pile is very small still, although spent pretty much the same as DD. I feel I need to pad it out with more things, but not sure what.

Aspiemum2 · 20/10/2012 00:19

I second the request for more men presents, have lots of male relatives to buy for who I don't particularly like and don't want to spend a fortune!

oreocrumbs · 20/10/2012 00:21

Hamleys Sylvanian families half price.

Free delivery and 5% cb from quidco too!

Sorry I can't help myself, someone please come and confiscate my laptop.

oreocrumbs · 20/10/2012 00:32

Oh ffs, I've just bought a telly Grin

This is what happens when I have a night off work. The excitment has gone to my head, and my finger is trigger happy.

For people searching for mens presents, while searching the sock shop with the 'SOCKIT' code for free delivery, I saw they have some football socks for £6.25 down from £10... I saw Arsenal & Man U but there may be more? Can't link sorry as on phone.

Sadly DH not a footie fan so I'm still looking for him too!

flinkystanny · 20/10/2012 08:51

I am not sure this will work as have only just ordered it, but my payment has gone through. I orderered stuff up to £60 on La Redoute, then put in the 0280 code to get £30 off a £60 order. I then removed the additional items I did not want bringing the total to quite a bit below £60. The code still seems to have held. So, fingers crossed I have a nice pair of converse for me and a lovely Vertbaudet winter coat for DS for £37.49 delivered!!! (Plus a free Moc Croc Handbag!)
I will let you all know once/ if they are delivered.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 20/10/2012 08:53

oreocrumbs · 20/10/2012 09:07

I think I may MistressIggi! I'm developing a twitch if I'm away from a bargain for more than 5 minutes Confused.

I'm going to try and focus my shopping now rather than just buying anything that looks good.

Off to check out the men's stuff links Grin.

Lorna30 · 20/10/2012 09:17

Marking place

PrettyPirate · 20/10/2012 09:19

My La Redoute order arrived few days ago (thanks for the code!!) but don't get excited about the free handbag. It's horrible, very bad quality and smellsHmm. Won't use it as a present, not sure I even want to take it to charity shopBlush. Got lots of lovely clothes for kids and DH though.

planestrainsautomobiles · 20/10/2012 09:28

Doshusallie - link for you for the shark soaps

Another poster had recommended this site and I bought them to go with the flannels as part of a christmas eve hamper.

rhondajean · 20/10/2012 09:48

Men's gifts - brandalley is very good for designer menswear at reduced prices, up to 70 percent off, and deals change daily.

I use it a lot, best saving so far I think was a mastrum jacket at £800 for £170, a £135 ed hardy hoody I bought for dd1 last christmas for £29, etc.

You have to join to view the sales - delivery can take a few weeks so don't leave it too late.

If anyone does want to join, if you pm me with an email address I can invite you and we both get £10 off.

ShoopShoop · 20/10/2012 10:03

My Hexbug and Toot Toot drivers have just arrived Grin

I love this thread!

Thanks
Aerobreaking · 20/10/2012 10:50

I have ordered a couple of these as an adult men's present. Says it is unboxed but I'm not too bothered about that and don't really like the men but have got to buy for them anyway

MistressIggi · 20/10/2012 11:11

Hexbugs - anyone know what age range they are for? I have 2 brothers to buy for who are late primary age (11 and 8 I think). Too old?

BlatherskiteOfTheLivingDead · 20/10/2012 12:42

My 5 year old got lots of Hexbugs for Christmas last year. My 8 year old Nephews were very jealous and requested Hexbugs for their next birthdays.

13 year old Nephew not so bothered though.

BlatherskiteOfTheLivingDead · 20/10/2012 12:49

Be careful with GLTC - they are notorious for rubbish customer service. An advanced search on here will bring up loads of threads!

They missed a load of stuff out of SIL's order once and then accused her of lying when she called up to report it. Basically said she had received it but was trying to pull a fast one by saying it was missing Shock
