I just tried SAVANNAH for tumble rock tower at ELC and it worked, hoping to get a cheaper one on ebay but thought I'd test it first. Anybody know when it works until in case nothing comes up on ebay?

milkymocha · 19/10/2012 20:17

Also looking for any mini micro deals out there. My son was riding the T-Bar scooter in John Lewis and loved it. Anyones child have this? Reviews please Smile

chaosisawayoflife · 19/10/2012 20:18

lazaroo I don't have a 10 year old, but I think the hunger games would be a bit too much for them. I absolutely loved the books though, so I recommend you buy them yourself at that price and pass them on if you think it's appropriate.

lazzaroo · 19/10/2012 20:21

Just thought I'd remind people of the Book Depository. Small savings on books but Free delivery on all orders. Worth looking at non-book stuff for stocking fillers. E.g. Peppa pig colouring set...

And dinosaur stencils.....

Thanks Chaos, that's what I thought. Wish I knew someone the right age to buy them for at that price!!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 19/10/2012 20:43

Mocha deals are hard to come by on Micro scooters but you could use the MN 10% code at Jojomamanbebe. Mine had Minis till their 6th birthday then Maxis, could have used the Maxis a bit younger. Both have been brilliant we must have done hundreds of miles on them. The Micro scooter company is brilliant for spares and repairs if they get hammered like ours.

Just googled, Micro company vs Jojo -10%, not much difference

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 19/10/2012 20:45

BTW, I am on the micro scooter company mailing lists, they do send out discounts occasionally, I will post if one arrives. Might be worth signing up for emails, but they might only send codes to previous customers.

MooseyMoo · 19/10/2012 20:46

I think the best mini micro deal is from JoJo Maman Bebe with MTF22 which takes it down to £43

rhondajean · 19/10/2012 20:53

I think the hunger games depends on the 10 year old, dd1 read them then but I can't imagine dd2 being ready for it then.

pigleychez · 19/10/2012 20:54

DD2 has the Micro scooter coming for xmas courtesy of JoJoMB :)

oreocrumbs · 19/10/2012 20:54

I have just this minute ordered the mini micro scooter. I have been all of t'web and Moosey is right that is the cheapest way to get it. I also bought the scoot and pull as advised up thread.

The only time I saw it cheaper was when JoJo had 20% discount code. But that expired and would only save you another £2, so I have decided to buy it now with the MTF22 code.

3bunnies · 19/10/2012 21:06

Wiggy the code was sent as part of the big birthday club, valid until end Nov.

DoubleMum · 19/10/2012 21:07

I love the Hunger Games but I haven't let my almost 11 yr old read them yet. Mind you a girl brought one in to read in 7 yr old DD's class and DD came home and asked me if she could read it. I was flabbergasted.

Pippinintherain · 19/10/2012 21:14

The Hunger Games works out cheaper from The BookPeople with the free delivery code.

milkymocha · 19/10/2012 21:16

Thank you for your replies, i loveee this thread and really need to stop checking it all the time lol !

lazzaroo · 19/10/2012 21:16

Thanks for all advice re:hunger games. Gut feeling is that he's too young...and not my child so not my decision! Am going horrible histories instead I think so back searching the discount book stores....

pigleychez · 19/10/2012 21:27

Oreo- Thats when I got my scooter, with the 20% off. Like you say theres not alot in it though.

and it was me who said about the scoot and pull! I fear ill be pulling it quite abit until she gets used to it!

Approximately · 19/10/2012 21:36

Just wanted to thank you for the reassurance about the 2 gap codes. My order arrived today and both codes have indeed been applied! Hurrah!

oreocrumbs · 19/10/2012 21:37

I was too late for that. Was just going to get a cheap scooter, but was swayed by this thread! Thought I would wait it out to see if there is another 20% code before christmas, but this one is close enough.

Thanks for the scoot and pull recomendation, I think it will be very usefull! I liked that you can use it to carry the scooter on your back too. I can see me doing that more than DD riding it!

That is all of the DDs presents bought now!

Have a couple of kids gifts to get for friend's DC, when they give me some pointers, then just the dreaded adults!

Did get some great bargains today in real life. We live right next to an outlet shopping centre. I bought most of my mums and my christmas cards from hallmark for £25, and Nike had 50% off everything in store sale. Got DP some trainers and shorts. Would have liked to look around more but it was rammed. Had to queue for 35 mins to pay!

Eddas · 19/10/2012 22:06

I ordered with la redoute but didn't get a confirmation email. when I check my account it says one of the two items i ordered is cancelled and the other one is pending (plus the bag) they haven't taken any money yet. Anyone else had this? seems odd and I really wanted the item that's saying cancelled Confused I suppose I will have to call them tomorrow

Doshusallie · 19/10/2012 22:12

I nearly forgot to mention that Myriad Myriad is having their usual before-Christmas sale: put Early Bird in the "notes" section of the order to receive 10% off. I can't remember if there is a minimum spend. This is my favourite shop ever for children's well-made, quality toys - all wooden and rainbow coloured and just lovely. My friend and I went in on an order to share the postage and with the 10% discount we were able to pick up some bath tablets and suchlike for stocking fillers with the savings.
