I need your help to choose a scooter. Was planning to get DD (2.4 at christmas) this scooter. Will be able to pick it up for £18.

But I keep hearing great things about the mini micro scooter. Best price I have seen will be £46 on JojoMB using the 15% off code.

Money isn't the issue, but is it worth spending the extra for the mini micro for a 2 yr old? At first I though not, but I haven't seen any reviews for the cheap one, and I would rather spend 45 and get a couple of years out of it, than 20 and have it sit in the garage.

Anyone have a better idea than me?

Chockywockydoodah · 15/10/2012 17:58

Thanks for the Tickseeds link Moosey and indeed all your other contributions! Really great stuff!

Lastyearsmodel · 15/10/2012 18:03

Anyone know if the Joules code works more than once?

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 15/10/2012 18:05

totally worth the money for the micro scooters!!

louiespence · 15/10/2012 18:08

Definitely get the mini micro scooter, they are so much better than other scooters and it will last for several years! They also have a high resale value on eBay, so a good investment.

PrettyPirate · 15/10/2012 18:09

I'd recommend mini micro scooter, it's smooth, quiet and very light to carry if your little one have had enough scootering. We had one of those £20 plasticky ones before and to be honest it drove me mad - too noisy for my likingHmm
Mini micro also lasts few children, once DS has outgrown it, I'm planning to sell it on ebay to get some of my money backGrin

pigleychez · 15/10/2012 18:17

On lots of recommendations Ive bought the Mini micro scooter for DD2 (2.5 at xmas) Also from JBM.

She got given an old Barbie scooter from a friend but its so heavy and shes so tiny that can barely lift it let alone ride it.
The micro does seem pretty light and more stable so she should be better on it.

pigleychez · 15/10/2012 18:19

Also bought one of these too for when she gets tired!

I'm just about to checkout lots of kids' books from the book people, have got free delivery as over £25 by just wondering if there are any discount codes on the go at the moment?

If anyone's looking for a cheap present - I'm going to give lots of these this year - a bag organiser.

The link is to the amazon one - they have lots around £8-15 and nice easy to see pictures. On the other hand, I am going to get them from Ebay - where they seem to cost about £3-5 and they are using identical photos to the amazon ones Grin. I'm going to order one to start with (must remember to do that soon!) just to double check the quality is OK and then will order a job lot of them in assorted colours (depending on stockist there seem to be up to about 6 different colours they come in).

I've had a handbag organiser in the past and it has been really useful. These seem a bit big maybe but most of the people I know that will be getting them either have big bags or will be able to use them to keep a kit of bits and bobs they need handy in a big bag like a gym bag or overnight locker.

People that I would normally give a bigger present to will get some extras within their organiser (some little just like a pack of tissues or wipes), notepad and pen, etc. Maybe something bigger like a favourite lipstick. And for my mum, sis and aunt, they will get them as a bonus extra to their main present.

peanutMD · 15/10/2012 19:15

OREO - I got the Ozbozz one for my DS' 3rd birthday, he's now 6 and its been passed down through 2 other friends and still going strong apart from a few scuffs.

we loved it and it was great for my son with Co, ordination issues to learn on, my only criticism was the lack of brakes but other than that it was and still is great.

Folicacid · 15/10/2012 19:24

ZipZap I've bought two handbag organisers from eBay for much cheapness from Hong Kong. Quality is great. I got wine colour and orange. Orange is a bit lurid but I wanted it to be noticeable in my bag. Just checked and the seller was onestoreonline2009.

BlameItOnTheCuervForHumanBlood · 15/10/2012 19:35

Cath kidston necklace £16.22 from £45

5ThingsUnderTheBed · 15/10/2012 19:35

Smyths have Transformer Weaponizers for £17.50, usually £35. Have just bombed across the city to get two.

I'm looking for a good deal on Nintendo Dsi or Dsi xl I anyone knows one?

Pamsie · 15/10/2012 19:37

ZipZap, I bought a couple from ebay too. They came from Hong Kong and were very cheap and great quality. However, they took about three weeks to be delivered. So, bear this in mind if you choose to order closer to christmas.

BlameItOnTheCuervForHumanBlood · 15/10/2012 19:39

oooh, and a jewellery box £15.38
