NeDeLaMer really not a valid arguement for christmas, people may have had all manner of bad things happen to them, if they don't wish to hear about christmas they can hide all christmas threads.

If for example you had a forced abortion and it still really upsets you, you would take steps to hide all threads about abortion to not upset yourself.

Not talking about anything in case it reminded someone of something terrible that happened is not a reason to not discuss something. What about easter what about birthdays.

All manner of things get discussed outside topic. All manner of things that is not AIBU is in AIBU.

I am very sorry for anyones loss, not just children there's lots of loss and christmas does bring that home. Christmas is a time for remembering and anyone who feels to upset by that should take steps to hide certain topics.

I'm so sorry you feel like this NeDe and I really am sorry if you have lost a child. I understand that Christmas can be an awful time of year for some people, but I don't think your comments are fair.

There is a lt of consideration for bereaved parents on this site IMO. No one has purposely tried to upset bereaved parents as far as I can see.

I'm surprised that on a parenting site there is so little consideration of those who have lost children and don't want to have Christmas rammed down their throats for 7 months of the year

Yeah well...if we took that tack over everything, no-one would ever talk about anything and the site would grind to a halt. I'll talk about Christmas in any month I so please, I'm afraid.

A time to be off work and be with your family having fun or simply relaxing with a good book, movie, whatever.

Your post was uncalled for and whilst i am sorry for your loss and those of others you truly cannot expect everyone on a forum to be mindful of personal feelings of everyone, and whilst we should all be sensitive when we are aware of other peoples feelings you can't make things off limits.
