Shock at Lola wanking whilst singing carols.....that's offensive by anyone's standards.

That was terrible, i was laughing so loud at the thought of myself wanking and singing carols that i woke DP and had to tell him why, he wants to know how i managed to mix up I and A when they are at opposite ends of the keyboard.

That means i did it subconsciously and i'm not sure how i feel about that.

one day in the whole year, so why do people and shops go completely over the top?

a valid topic of conversation in whatever section of MN one chooses to put it in, and threads about it can be hidden by posters that don't want to read about it.

People talk about all sorts of things that could go on different topics, get over it.

its not even an aibu, so maybe I'll report it instead of hiding it.

Get over that.

Dog poo threads don't generally remind you of children you have lost though do they Lola?

If it's in the title of the thread - it's too late not to see it isn't it.

I'm so pleased that so many of you think it's hilarious to wind up people who have lost children and wont be having Christmas with them.

Yes, Christmas will come again this year, but not in bloody August/September/October/November. It's bad enough it's everywhere in the shops already, but on MN as well? It's why there is a topic to discuss it out of season.

I'm surprised that on a parenting site there is so little consideration of those who have lost children and don't want to have Christmas rammed down their throats for 7 months of the year :(

Can I strike out the "is" and replace it with "decorations are already being sold in our local Matalan". They have the whole place lined up with those little snowmen, reindeers and santas. Thought it was a bit strange.

nede although I am genuinely sorry for your situation and can understand that it's upsetting, there's always going to be subjects on here that upset people. outraged has an albeit harshly worded point, people are allowed to get excited about it. It's October now and that means its only 2 pay days before Xmas so I for one have to think about it well in advance.

For some people its the one time of year they see all their family and get proper time to spend with them away from work. Its bound to bring up bad memories for people however it should be a happy time to be enjoyed and celebrate family, even ones who are no longer here. Let people get excited, don't purposely ruin these threads for people. That's not just for you but all the anti-Xmas brigade, whatever their reasons
