It's going to be a long 20 days isn't it? I was slightly worried that dd wouldn't be into it, but she's getting a bit hyper already!

I am going to finish all my shopping tomorrow, just have a few bits to get along with wrapping paper. And then I will have a nice wrapping evening with wine and some cheesy Christmas film.

How is everyone getting on? Any really super organised people with everything done?

BiddyPop · 05/12/2012 08:57

Wrapping paper!! I need to get that tonight en route home....Thanks Buzzgirly.

Cards almost all done, last 3 items left to buy (all small and I can pick up as I pass shops between office and car daily).

DD was making cards yesterday afternoon, and put up the first decoration (a Santa window cling) last night.

70s no we did not go in the ice bit, we did see someone get stuck on the zip line though, poor woman was in tears while everyone got out their smart phones so she would have been on twitter/face book ect with in moments.

I ould advise not to go on a week end, but if you do go early as it was manic

We got our tree on Saturday, and put it up yesterday (we were only going to do the lights, but DD really wanted the decs on too so we did those after the school fair and meeting PILs).

I am worn out already, and we still have a mega weekend to come (2 Santa parties on Sat and proper Santa visit Sun - which is 2 hours from home, while DH helps his Sis move into her new house). And my diary at work is sooo full, and I have loads of people looking for meetings in the next 2 weeks!!

I just want to crawl into bed and get rid of my chest infection in peace....

I know what you mean biddy, we have something on every day until next Thursday with parties, meeting friends, visiting Santa and of course another night out Xmas Wink I am looking forward to a couple of pyjama days after Christmas Day.

I had sort of lost my Christmas spirit slightly, but dd came home from nursery singing Away in a Manger which brought a wee tear to my eye, so back in full swing. I don't know what it but whenever I hear young children singing at Christmas I get a lump in my throat.

RabidCarrot · 12/12/2012 12:33

If you heard me singing you would put a noose round your throat Xmas Grin

It is -8 here today, the holiday cannot come soon enough!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/12/2012 08:31

-8 Xmas Shock

We're cold here, (my car said -4 this morning but it's a terrible fibber).
But nowhere near -8.

I've got my Christmas TV Times to go through with the highlighter pen Grin

And in the Tesco Metro they were playing "Stop The Cavalry" yay

My DC threaten me with the NSPCC/ChildLine/Dogs Trust when I sing "Fairytale of New York" . (But they are riff-raff)

RabidCarrot · 13/12/2012 13:41

It is cold here today as the heating has stopped working, I emailed landlord and he emailed back complaining that he had just had to pay to fix the shower, fuckwit.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/12/2012 15:01

Cor, what a git.
Email back - "That's not my problem LandLord.
My Problem is I've got no blardy heating"
