Oooh, Santa smileys! Xmas Smile Xmas Smile Xmas Smile

Festive socks arrived today, in the St.Nick of time. Hurray. Advent box mysteriously arrived at the front door. DS was excited to see the box, but wasn't overly taken with the contents once he spotted the chocolate coins! Xmas Smile
He has his little festive outfit on and looks sooooo adorable.

Was it your birthday then? Sorry if I missed it. Happy birthday Xmas Smile

I seriously need another month to prepare!

WhatWouldSantaDo · 03/12/2012 00:45
Xmas Grin Our small tree is up, but it looks so tiny, (3ft), and I think we will get a big one. It was fine when I lived on my own in my little London flat, but looks a bit titchy in a family home. I'd like a big artificial one, I just think they make them so well these days, they look fuller than the real ones. But I haven't seen any nice artificial ones here, and JL don't ship their trees over. Boo. So looking for a real one, DH likes real ones anyway. I'm also thinking of the cost of a real one bought every year over the years. But then, we are trying to live minimally, as we'd like to move a lot, so storing a big fake tree maybe isn't ideal. What to do!

Mama, you've had all year! :)
Chesty, glad you are enjoying your birthday celebrations.

ChestyNutsRoastingAnOpenFire · 03/12/2012 09:52

I've got some of my decorations up. I couldn't wait any longer and decided it would be my reward for spending the morning dragging them out from under the stairs.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/01/2013 00:33

On NYE I bought my tin!
(I buy a money tin every New Year to save £2 coins)
Has to be one of the tins you open with a can opener -a jar would be pilfered.
I aim to put £4 a week in.Decembers one had £188 so we each got £47 to buy a "Jar Present".
Wink

ISawMamaPizzaKissingSantaClaus · 02/01/2013 09:31

Happy new year everyone!

Sorry for being quiet, had some quality family time. It doesn't happen often, so made the most of it. Plus we re-decorated our bedrooms, all looks sparkly and pretty now Xmas Grin DS got some new IKEA furniture, we added on to his existing Stuva system because he had too many bloody toys for Christmas and I need to store them away

I'm staying here, who else is?

Anyone got any post Christmas bargains? I haven't really been out (I think twice in the last two weeks) and not seen anything.

70, I started the same again with the £2 coins. I have £6 in already. Unfortunately last year due to unemployment we had to raid it in summer as we desperately needed to pay bills, but even by summer it was something like £130, not bad. This year I shall keep it until December, at least I know I can.
