Tesco Christmas delivery slots

I had a leaflet saying that the Christmas delivery slots will be available to book at the end of November. Now they book up really fast and last year the kind delivery man told me exactly which day, at midnight, they opened, and I booked at 3am (sad I know but I was up bf ds), and they had all gone by 4am!!!!
I forgot to ask the delivery man this week and wondered if anyone knows what day they become available to book.

I got an email yesterday saying that I was allowed to book a priority slot as a thank you for being such a great customer blah blah blah. Said 'click here to book your slot now' but when I did, it just took me to normal slot booking page with no way of reserving a slot for Xmas for more than two hours.

I rang them, but spent 13 mins on hold apart from one brief moment where I explained to a bored sounding woman who just put me back on hold. Eventually hung up and sent them a cross email. Humph.

If only ocado delivered in Scotland. I am unwilling to try asda after all I've heard on here about their crappy service. Am getting fed up w tesco tho.

Booked mine already. Got an email from Tesco last night saying they were released. Got 23rd for me and 24th for my mum.

There is talk on moneysavingexpert that some people are booking them now. However, these people had a special email from Tesco. My account is only showing availability till the 17th, so I haven't been one of the chosen few.

I have however managed to book one for the 21st with Wiatrose. Free delivery too. HTH

We don't have a waitrose up here,my options are Tesco and Asda and I've saved my clubcard vouchers all year!

thanks for reminding me! I got an e-mail yesterday saying I could book my Christmas slot now (but apparently I am a "valued, priority customer Hmm)- maybe cos I order every week. Not sure when they are bookable for their ,erm, less valued customers, though!

Last year I missed out on Tesco, as the special people had nabbed all of the christmas slots, but I got one with Sainsburys fairly easily. (Admitedly it was the day they realised them! LOL)

Grin Definitely e-mail them, the cheeky buggers! Tell them they have made you feel less special and they may recompense you! When I went on holiday for 2 wks this summer they e-mailed me to ask where I'd been, if I was cross with them (or words to that effect!) and gave me a £5 voucher in a bid to woo me back- nice one!

They are so needy, I find

DirtyMartini, ASDA service varies from area to area. I've never had problems with them, but no end of problems with Sainsburys and Tesco for instance. Definitely worth taking a shot with them if you can't use Tesco.

I cannot book either - how much do special customers spend per week - we spend £200 plus a week!!!! No to mention petrol and insurance!!

I got the email too and succeeded in booking slots on Mon 20th and Thur 23rd no problem. Bizarely all slots on Wed 22nd were gone/blanked out, and 24th. But I'd rather the delivery came before 24th for time for the inevitable missing items to be got by sending DH to join the masses Grin

FYI I spend about £120-150 pw with them. Once I had 3 weeks 'off' using them - combination of illnesses, using up freezer etc, and got a "where have you gone? have £5 to come back email".

I rang them and moaned. Apparently the amount I spend in store and on petrol counts for nowt! A weekly online shop gets you VIP status.
The moaning was fruitless I'm afraid. Bookings open to the plebs on Monday.

Am I being thick? How do you reserve a slot for xmas without doing your shop now? Or are you all actually doing the order now?

I can click on a slot on the 23rd, but it doesn't show a way to reserve it for more than the normal 2 hours.
