They are 5 and 21 months. Will they have any ill effects?

Shesells you are obviously in a difficult situation - my sympathy, thank goodness DH is back. My only thoughts might have been the neighbours' phone - if you have a neighbour! Good luck.

scaredoflove · 26/03/2009 20:46

get someone to phone 999 if you can't walk it or get a cab

ScottishMummy · 26/03/2009 20:47

MN isnt a diagnostic facility it is a chatroom.NHS direct will hopefully triage and respond

this is scary for you, and i hope it resolves ok

singyswife · 26/03/2009 20:53

Hope all is okay and you get some peace of mind now dh is back and is phoning. What a horrible situation for you to be in. Have a damn good cry and a bottle of wine now.

ScottishMummy · 26/03/2009 20:54

maybe reserve the wine and tears till you get all clear

singyswife · 26/03/2009 20:57

Ok well just have the cry and have the wine later.

ScottishMummy · 26/03/2009 21:01

umm get this sorted first, eh. kids first debrief later

anniebear · 26/03/2009 21:20

what did they say?

Hope all ok

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 26/03/2009 21:43

unless she has consumed over 40 tablets she won't have iron poisoning, unless she has consumed over 100 tablets she won't have vit A poisoning.

As dd2 only sucked them they are not worried, but for it would be 30 and 70. There are only 30 tablets in the whole packet and only 7 are unnaccounted for. Two of which were on the floor.

Dd1 may have black poo and a tummy ache in the morning, but will be fine. Dd2 should have no ill effects at all.

Phew

Well done for handling situation, hope you get a good night's sleep (and not too much black poo).

izyboy · 26/03/2009 21:47

Oh thank goodness. I am assuming that because they are flavoured to attract children then the amount in the tub is carefully measured. Perhaps DH will think twice before leaving you stranded with 2 kids again?????

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 26/03/2009 21:55

I doubt that izyboy! Dd1 doesn't like them. She tinks they taste of grass, hence non verbal dd2 spitting them because they taste of grass.

She says she ate them because she didn't eat her dinner and didn't want tummy ache or leg cramps from "not enough nourishments" so she had her "nourishments" tablets instead. She was concerned that dd2 would get tummy ache because she only ate her quiche and not her salad or wedges.

Don't you just love 5 y o reasoning??? Wouldn't have been much easier just to eat her dinner?

Thing is DS would probably do the same - I shall make sure everything is locked away.
