My DD has a history of bad colds, ear infects and tonsillitis.

A few weeks ago she had tonsillitis and had double strength antibiotics to get rid of it, she is allergic to penacillin so have to have useless erythromycin.

Tonight we have yet another 40+ temp, she had nurofen (5ml) at 7pm and it seems to have done nothing. Just given Medised as she is very bunged up and will take her to the out of hours docs in the am.

So, can I give more than 5ml nurofen and also can I give it more than 8 hourly???

I know how to safely combine paracetomol and nurofen so not worried there, just very worried about poor DD. She is 20 months old.

Many thanks to anyone still up and about. I will gratefully receive any messages but may have to pick them up in the morning due to a 5am start with DD and her very high temp.

Many thanks in advance. xx
