You need to to go a&E asap. We had this with ds and took him in his pyjamas with dressing gown + slippers to A&E around 10pm and were there till 1 am by which time the pains had stopped. This happened twice. I was very concerned as I had an appendectomy when I was 5 despite seeing a doctor everyday for the 3 days I was ill and not being able to walk for the last day. We got a second opinion and I was then rushed to hospital.

If your DD won't be made worse by being taken out then go. You'll feel better, and one late night won't hurt.
I really hope you're on here in the morning telling us it turned out to be a simple bug!!

oH tRACE,WHAT AN AWFUL SITUATION FOR YOU

I think given the situation,I would get dd dressed and take her plus any meds she takes,if you really want to be with ds.If the worst happened and heaven forbid she had a seizure at least she would be at hospital also! You will all be really tiredCan you get a taxi/Does she need other equipment and stuff???

Keeing fingers crossed for you xxx

DECKmuppetWITHBOUGHSOFHOLLY · 13/12/2008 23:47

am so glad xxxxx

I will be thinking of you and hoping all is okay with your ds. I was fine -missed the start of school though but the doctor said that someone so young couldn't have an apendicitis yet I did. Hence why I was very careful with my ds 1 when he had his pains.

twinklingtrace2 · 13/12/2008 23:52

thank you yes am going to go i need to be there dd as her dd shes on anight feeding pump and a apenea monitor, but i can take her of feeding soon as soon as shes had enough to last a few hours.

Is she a regular on the paeds ward?Could you let them know in advance about ds and your situation???(They may be able to find a space on the ward for you if they aren't horrendously busy.)

Ignore the horrid poster on this thread.I have a sn child and sometimes it is easy to focus on the sn one and you expect the nt one to be constantly well, oddly,so when they get sick it is suprising!!!!!

Hope ds is ok sending positive vibes xxxxx

Hope you are getting the help needed.

(is it diabetes? That can present with terrible stomach pains in the acute phase).

Fingers crossed for you all.

twinklingtrace2 · 14/12/2008 00:04

its ok i dont take offence my children are to important to care about any one else, my ds is also sn he as got aspergers they both have one to one care from me and dh, we spend so much time at hospital we dont go unless we really need to thats the problem we dont judge it right . but we have took ds to gp every time as thisas bothered me and i rang on friday they said its just d&v ug every ones got it. ds as not been screaming all the time only started a short time befor i put on here after he went to sleep, but then woke up again so i rang 999
