She's fallen and her legs all swollen. She's weight baring but she's limping and she's crying intermittently.

It worries me that you have to ask tbh, it looks obviously broken.

Hope your dd is okay.

PurplePansy05 · 14/02/2024 21:05

And the "drunk walk" would tie in to ligaments, could be instability.

sugaryouth1 · 14/02/2024 21:06

I'm asking because I've never dealt with this and I needed some advice. Believe me 4 minutes later I'm on my way to a and e

It looks really swollen to me, hopefully you won't have a long wait at a &e

tchotchke · 14/02/2024 21:08

Glad you’re taking her. Definitely swollen and looks bent. Hopefully shes not in too much pain.

whatsitcalledwhen · 14/02/2024 21:08

Oof poor thing, it looks very swollen! Hope you don't have to wait too long and they can help asap.

TheChosenTwo · 14/02/2024 21:08

Oh ouch! That doesn’t look quite right to me, glad you’re taking her to get it looked at.
I’m very much an “is your leg falling off? No? Then you’re fine!” mum but that does need looking at.
take some painkillers, some water and maybe something to eat - you might be there a while!

DyslexicPoster · 14/02/2024 21:11

I know your on way to A&E but check the wait times first. Ideally you'd go up if you thought it was a break or soft tissue damage but I don't cope with hours in A&E. If it was over 4 hours wait I'd put the bed then do minors in the morning

IsThisOneAvailable · 14/02/2024 21:17

Yeah I'd go get it checked out.

More than likely ligament or soft tissue injury but worth a look

Noseybookworm · 14/02/2024 22:36

Yes I'd take to a&e. Take drinks & food and maybe a blanket? Hope you don't have too long a wait to be seen 💐

Glad you've taken her

Let us know how she gets on

Letsgetouttahere2023 · 14/02/2024 22:49

Hope she's ok. Keep us updated. Does look very different to the other

Perfectlystill · 14/02/2024 22:52

Hope she's ok. I would def go toA&E with that

kookit · 14/02/2024 23:14

Poor love. Keep us updated OP hope she's okay!

kaytyy · 14/02/2024 23:29

Hope she's ok.

sugaryouth1 · 15/02/2024 01:43

She has a torn ligament. She's exhausted and I am too. Though 4 hours in a and e isn't bad going.

asterel · 15/02/2024 01:48

Glad to hear not broken, OP! Hope you and she can get some rest now.

JanglingJack · 15/02/2024 01:53

That's great news - well better than broken. I was going to say yes as well. I hope you've managed some rest!

I'm guessing schools out 😉

coxesorangepippin · 15/02/2024 02:56

Little poppet

Hope she feels better soon

It wasn't broken, oh keyboard warrior doctor. 🙄

shearwater2 · 15/02/2024 03:11

Well done OP. Hope it heals quickly.

It would really worry me if you were a medical professional as it doesn’t look ‘obviously broken’ whatsoever. It’s a job for minor injuries walk in.

Fluffypuppy1 · 15/02/2024 03:23

DeathMetalMum · 14/02/2024 20:58

If you have minor injuries with x-ray go there. We have an a&e within 15 minutes, but used a further away (35mins) minor injuries when dd had hurt her ankle. We were assessed, sent for an x-ray and sorted within an hour - no break thankfully. Fantastic service, I expect we'd have spent at least half the day in A&E.

This.

Our minor injuries clinic is 45 mins away vs 20 for A&E, but also all done within an hour whereas A&E is at least 6 hours.

Tilllly · 15/02/2024 04:42

Good news @sugaryouth1

Glad you went, you'd have only been worrying
