Fishy smell from 10 year boy’s penis

Any help gratefully received!
my DS10 has a strong fishy smell coming from his penis. He’s at that shy stage now so won’t let me have a proper look but says it’s not sore or itchy. Just a bit “wet” he says. We go on holiday tomorrow so no time for a dr visit but could Pop to a pharmacy if anyone has a recommend?

Ah this is clever as he’s impatient and often runs off after washing and wants to get into clothes without drying properly first. (He has autism and doesn’t like texture of the towel)
i wonder if this has maybe caused it, will try clever bicarb trick.

Have you tried a travel towel? It's a different texture to a normal towel.

My ds has autism and I was impressed he was OK showing his nut at the hospital!! His words when he told family!! I looked away as requested!

Do an online GP appointment. Superdrug are pretty cheap and usually have loads of slots. They should be able to prescribe the antibiotic cream.

Have you asked him if he's peeled back his foreskin and cleaned it properly so that there is no white or yellow stuff (aka smegma) there?

As a community who deals with catheters and men's penis a lot I feel like I'm constantly educating grown men on how to clean their penis properly. The odour that comes from them is very unpleasant.
It sounds like a hygiene issue and if he doesn't clean his penis properly he can become really sore.

If he uses shower gel it can be difficult to wash off
Old fashioned imperial leather soap and pull back foreskin and throughly wash ,rinse and when out shower pull back again and gently dry
Boys this age need telling how to wash correctly

Is his foreskin retractible if it is dose he retract it at bath time? Could be smegma

Rinse, dry, THEN return the foreskin back to its usual position.
It'll get sore if it's damp under the foreskin.
