I'm just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this type of rash. It appeared out if nowhere yesterday morning and is getting worse. She is covered in blisters. She is otherwise well but not much of an appetite. I would have thought chicken pox but they are not itchy. Thanks.

I would have thought chicken pox. My two had it and they didn't find them itchy.

Whereland · 04/01/2023 09:17

Chicken pox. My three weren't itchy either

IceReckon · 04/01/2023 09:17

Could be impetigo though that's also usually itchy. See a doctor incase it is as that needs antibiotics, and they can rule out anything else like extreme contact dermatitis reaction.

Cantbebotheredwithchores · 04/01/2023 09:18

Chicken pox or molloscum contagiosum

SchnauzerEyebrows · 04/01/2023 09:47

Crikey, poor girl. That one on her neck doesn't look like typical Chicken Pox but I'm no medic. Please do report back Flowers

saltedpretzel2 · 04/01/2023 09:49

Looks just like chicken pox they aren't always itchy

Rosio · 04/01/2023 09:50

Chicken pox! Wasn't itchy for one of my kids either

CoodleMoodle · 04/01/2023 09:52

Another vote for chicken pox. When DS4 had them he wasn't itchy at all. Then DD8 caught them from him and they drove her nuts! It doesn't always make them itch.

Hope she feels okay Flowers

rumbypumby · 04/01/2023 09:59

Definitely chicken pox

NotAQueef · 04/01/2023 10:01

My vote is molloscum contagiousum.

SoupDragon · 04/01/2023 10:02

I think chicken pox too.

shieldmaiden7 · 04/01/2023 10:04

Chicken pox! I had at 23 when my kids had them. They get itchy when they start to scab

NauseousNancy · 04/01/2023 10:05

I think chicken pox. A pharmacist could diagnose.

GuinnessLover · 04/01/2023 10:09

My son was only itchy with chicken pox when they atrted healing.

golddustwomen · 04/01/2023 10:10

Another vote for chicken pox. My daughter had one on her neck exactly the same as the one your dd has.

Notthisnotthat · 04/01/2023 10:14

My daughter had chicken pox and Molluscum at the same time, some of the bigger ones were molluscum. She wasn't itchy either, we went to the pharmacy to get it confirmed. The chicken pox was fine but the molluscum was a bugger to get rid off.

purpledalmation · 04/01/2023 10:29

Chicken pox. The itchy comes later.

NeverGonnaNot · 04/01/2023 10:30

Looks like chicken pox to me.

HouseofGods · 04/01/2023 10:30

Chicken pox! DS2 was covered in blisters like the one on your DD neck but they weren't itchy

fUNNYfACE36 · 04/01/2023 10:33

Chicken pox, the itchiness comes after

reelcat · 04/01/2023 10:59

Another vote for Chicken Pox!

SoupDragon · 04/01/2023 11:04

My vote for chicken pox is based on the speed they appeared, the spread and the way they are multiplying.

AM26 · 04/01/2023 11:27

Thank you so much for all your replies. We had taken her to the doctors yesterday but he wasn't sure what it was. If it was itchy then I would have said definitely chicken pox but it just seems strange it's not itching. This would be day 2. It's definitely a relief to know so many of you think chicken pox as otherwise I have no idea what it could be. More and more appearing all the time. Thanks again.

Chicken pox isn't itchy until they scab over though are they? Weird a gp couldn't diagnose though.

Dartmoorcheffy · 04/01/2023 11:31

I would say chicken pox and I had it as an adult. It only started to be itchy on the 3rd day.
