My gorgeous girl was badly burned last year. She was lucky to survive and spent two months in intensive care.
since then she has blossomed into a strong, brave lovely little girl.
Tomorrow she's in to have her hand redrafted as she can't bend it at the knuckle and her little finger straightened: it sticks out at a right angle. She will also have a large itchy scar (about the size of my flat hand) layered off and then sprayed with 'spray on skin'. It's the next of many trips to theatre and there will be many more. I have been waiting and pushing for this op for a while but now it's imminent I'm dreading it :(

Good luck for tomorrow. I hope the surgery is a resounding success. I know how nervous you must be feeling.

AnotherLoad · 11/06/2012 21:03

ah blessings to you both. good luck and all the best

GreyTS · 11/06/2012 21:03

Good luck, so glad to hear your DD is doing well, your story was terrifying. Hope op goes extremely well.

BulletProofMum · 11/06/2012 21:11

Thanks. When her injuries were healing last time she was unconscious then bombed out on morphine and a range of other pharmacology. This time she will go in happy and healthy then wake up with a boxing glove for a hand, bandaged side and bandaged leg (her donor site). I wish I could just her pain and fear away. Or i wish at least she could understand
