DD2 is 3years old.
While out on sunday walk today she started crying and wouldnt stop, kept saying it hurt, we thought feet or hands had got cold. She didnt stop crying for 30 mins until we got home.
She has been asleep on sofa for main part of afternoon. She has a cough which started yesterday. She also has a low grade temp.

She however has complained her side hurts inside.
She is now awake but not moving off the sofa and complains of pain everytime she sits up.

Of course its Sunday and would mean taking her to emergency GP.
Would you just watch and see?? This is what DH says we should do.

Good luck.

Better to have gone in now, than o'clock tomorrow morning.

Goingspare · 05/12/2010 17:32

Er, should have been a number before o'clock, but you know what I mean.

Glad you're taking her in. DS1 had this, aged 5, and it turned out to be pneumonia. Apparently it can present like appendicitis n small children (according to the doctors that were crowded round him trying to decide between 3 diagnoses)

she had pneumonia 2 winters ago, was very scary.
GP checked her over said he couldnt find anything other than cough and sore throat and pain had gone by the time we were seen at 7 o'clock Hmm
He was very nice and said keep an extra eye on her and if she get worse bring her straight back and dont assume that because she was ok tonight that it would be ok to leave it.
