ugh, Elon Musk is just one humongous walking ick, and I genuinely don't understand why so many men (especially those on dating sites) have such a mega-boner for him - he's constantly listed as being an ideal dinner party guest which is a massive reason to swipe left for me.

(what's the attraction of someone who looks like a thumb and spends all his time spouting off about his IQ and his 11 children?! have a day off).

Also, loving the phrase 'gnat's chuff' and will be reusing that in the future @MrsDanversGlidesAgain 😆

I find this concept of having children so "other peoples children don't have to look after you" the kind of thing utterly stupid people say

So what when you are older you don't want your children to take you to the dentist, or the optician, or the hairdresser or the GP? Or do those people not count as someone else's children that you are paying to provide a level of care?

Besides which, if Elon Musk did a show of hands of every billionaires children who intended on not sourcing care for their ageing parents he would not find many, if any hands. I very much doubt his children will be caring for him in his old age

Instead he has all the morality of a man who hoards wealth whilst other people's children starve

Musk may be a visionary & incredibly successful businessman, but he’s also a prick and few people who have known him personally have a good word to say about him, including numerous ex-wives. I will never be even 1% as rich as him, but I am both childfree and a half-decent human being and that’s good enough for me.

DH thinks he's a total arse, not as clever as he says he is, and a chancer. One of the many reasons to like my DH.

And yes, someone once said that her entire economic theory was based on thinking the opposite to Norman Lamont. I think you could base your life on doing the opposite to Elon.

I think he also thinks childless people shouldn't have the right to vote because we've no stake in the future so it's undemocratic allowing us to have a say. His IQ can't be that high if he doesn't realise that our stake is that while we're alive, we have to live here - there isn't anywhere else to go.

Doesn't musk just impregnate woman and then discard them? I think he even used Grimes eggs to make a baby with his own sperm in a surrogate after they split up! I assume Grimes signed off on it when they were still together not realising he had ownership of it all. She's also been on social media begging him to let her see her children.

Sure Musk will have his kids around him when he is old because they will want his money but it will be someone else's kids looking after him in his decrepitude. He has no idea what really is behind a persons choice not to have kids and he probably just wants a large population so he and his fellow billionaires can keep paying their employees peanuts to work for him.

Frankly his opinions on this matter are irrelevant, perhaps if he paid his taxes public services and support would be better for ordinary people who wanted to have kids, its his morality that is in the toilet.

I think people putting videos online about how amazing the child free life is are plebs anyway! Not because I’m jealous of their level of freedom or anything 🤣 I do think it’s stupid though, just like people that go on about how great being parents is…also the ones going in about ‘mum life’ being so hard etc. I just dislike influencers of all sorts really!

Remind me - who's paying the taxes for the doctors, dentists, teachers, hospitals, libraries and schools for these future adults as they're growing up? oh right - it's (among other people) the childless couples and singles.

It’s strange - most parents say they don’t want their children looking after them when they get old, but seem very confident that other people’s children will be happy to do so?
