Hi

I'm a registered childminder but on the side, I like to build websites. After doing a lot of research and seeing what other companies charge, I've decided to set myself up building cheaper websites for other childminders and small businesses.

Any idea's for a catchy business name would be grately appreciated as this is an area I'm not so good at!

Cheers

Just wanted to point something out as someone has let me know that 'on the side' sounds dodgy, I just didn't think when I wrote that .

What I mean is my full time job is childminding but in my spare time I want to do websites. All will be legit, i.e. IR informed etc, this is why I want a business name to make it all professional.

Just wanted to make sure people know what I mean

I did a multimedia HND at college and the very first part of our course was to think of names to call our potential new websites we were to create and what business we would be designing for, so previously being a nanny I decided to do nanny agencies!

That's great - thanks for the help!

Hi again. I've decided I want a name for childminders for now as to be honest, I've had so many requests recently, I think I'll get enough from that for now.

Any more idea's fo web design aimed at childminders would be great

Hi HellyBelly,

I have been toying with doing something similar - but have no idea how you go about getting business - are you planning to contact local businesses etc ?

morningpaper · 02/09/2005 13:18

Hi HellyBelly/Throckenholt: I run my own self-employed website design business. If you want to CAT me I can send you some info that might help.

morningpaper - have CAT you

throckenholt - I spoke to Inland Revenue and they told me I just submit figures with my childminding and party plan returns. Not sure when you HAVE to formerly register but I didn't have to for the childminding.

SOUPDRAGON - GREAT name!!!

I wanted to use hub2dees name but I found out someone else uses a similar name on mumsnet so I started thinking of other names.

This is great! What does everyone else think??

I need a emoticon. Thought it was potentially appropriate should you change your target customers.

HellyBelly · 02/09/2005 20:36

It's taken boo hoo!!

What do you think of www.childminderwebs.co.uk or www.childminder-webs.co.uk or www.childminder-websites.co.uk?
