I have started bashing away at updating my EYFS policies in line with the new welfare standards.

I went to bed at 8.15 last night and am wide awake, bright eyed and bushy tailed.

a chance to rant:

my 13 month old mindee is extremely accident prone. Monday morning she arrives with couple of grazes on her face and small bruise. Mum always in a rush so nothing is said. I made note in my diary of existing injury. i am CRAP with paperwork so while I have recorded it, I have not had mum or dad sign formal note yet. this morning mum says that LO has bruise, I say yes it was there two days ago (but my records show monday). i receive email asking for accident book so she can sign. i reply saying it is recorded as existing injury, she says "well, that is where I disagree with you". she said it was not there yesterday morning and she only noticed it last night. she says she would definitely have noticed it before if it was there.

i have not replied yet. a bit shell shocked. the child RUNS everywhere. and she is forever toppling over.

there have been quite a few other niggly things since the beginning of the contract

I wonder if it is worth the risk to continue this bumpy relationship.

and my 5 year old vomited again this morning though in the loo this time and not the frigging toy box as he did last thursday. said that the smell of poo made him sick!!
