Thought you might have missed the bonnet hugging remark!

august24 is selling her 5 series '92 BMW which I considered - spacious, safe, big boot - and the old ones like this are only about £1K - but sadly it was white which dw and I didn't think was a nice colour for that car. Ho hum. Still fancy a Citroen C8, though dw doesn't think it's 'sexy' enough IYSWIM. DW does however like the Volvo S40 estate too (is that correct ?) - the smaller one. OK, it's not sexy, but it has a certain cachet... Doubtless it would be dwarfed at the lights by your XC70. But then maybe I'll gun for the XC90 and make your's look small

Catch you later on the Desparate Housewives thread !

(Just saw your other posts)...

Yeah: I keep missing the mini kicks... guess they are very transitory and hard to feel for someone else ! From reading your text it sounds like your dh couldn't feel the early ones either !!!

I did get the Dr to show me how to palpate for the fundus though ! Bean is about 13cm long now. It's incredible.

Yes, with some individuals you can just scan their posts and just have to go WTF ??? I can't help but feel that with some, it's not worth bothering to attempt to post and comment on the behaviour / attitude / netiquette / how it feels for others / how this site is run yadda yadda...

RTKangaMummy · 23/02/2005 18:25

I personally find the V40 very cramped

go for the XC70

DH saw another one the same as ours last week {but without phone}

as it is a limited edition it was the 1st we had seen since geting it in May 2004

It was parked in local car park

Good luck with the kicks

Our 1st car was white and I wouldn't chose it again as a colour. just looked grubby the whole time.

please could you do a link to citroen C8 as I don't know it?

Yeah, but we know the Kanga clan are giants !

C8

another one

The C8's back doors don't open out, they do an elctric slide back. Neat ! Can imagine me with bambino proudly doing the electric slide and putting bean in seat!

"kids" > only one inside dw

Nice that your car is a bit rare. I've seen only one XC70 in the last few weeks.

Dad's BMW is a 525xT - the four wheel drive estate, so similar concept but it isn't 'raised' like the XC70. Bet you're feeling smug in the snow !!!

RTKangaMummy · 23/02/2005 19:06

looks good for a people mover

I drove a crystler voyager with sliding door when I was in canada

useful in car parks

snow is absolutely no prob

could you give opinion to frogs on which volvo she should get

Yeah, doesn't look fowl, but not exactly big time stylee.

I think the Voyager is nice. Haven't really thought about it as Chrysler's presence in the UK is a little marginal. Did your Canadian doors slide on their own or with human power ?

Last week we went out with a friend of dw who has 2 kids. They are great, but when I saw them opening the doors and getting out of the cars I really hoped no one was watching IYSWIM . So yes, very useful in car parks with tyrant tots.

"snow is absolutely no prob" > "bring it on"

CountessDracula · 23/02/2005 20:05

I have an old Toyota Previa I am flogging soon if you want it!

MUCH better drive than the voyager, similar size to the grand voyager.

RTKangaMummy · 23/02/2005 20:10

In canada it was by opening them with handle

but this was 15 years ago

RTKangaMummy · 23/02/2005 20:11

hub2dee · 23/02/2005 20:25

Hi Countess, I noticed your Previa posts, but don't think it's for us

CountessDracula · 23/02/2005 20:42

Fair enough! I can't get off my arse to advertise it, must get on with it!

Will be sorry to lose it really, am quite tempted to keep it just for the few occasions when we do need the space but can't really justify it

hub2dee · 28/02/2005 23:46

Saw an XC70 today in Brent Cross car park. It looks like the same dark blue as your picture, but it had dark blue colour coded front bumper / nose, but not in the same blue / gloss, IYSWIM: more of a matt plastic look.

Sadly dw thought it was uggers.

She likes the ordinary estates though, so you never know...

RTKangaMummy · 28/02/2005 23:55

Oh no

my actual car is different blue to that piccy

more of a royal blue
