So after this weeks shenanigans I think we should all go out and have some fun.

I have roped Squiffy into it (although a lot of arm twisting was not needed).

So, here's the deal (if Squiffy agrees):
Noura in Belgravis
7:00 onwards

If anyone wants to meet for drink before dinner I'm sure we can organise a nearby pub. I probably won't make until dinner but feel free to get started without me.

Right, add your name to the list if you can come:

I think I might be able to come, DH needs to check his diary and make sure he can come early to take over DS duties, but tentatively count me in....

I'd love to come, but it's a bit far from Plymouth! Perhaps Jura and I could have our own south-west meet up

Could you CAT me about the yahoo group too pls.

AtheneNoctua · 14/05/2008 09:43

Anyone else?

Marvellous choice of venue - used to eat Lebanese all the time at a fab place in Shepherd Market years ago before I had kids, when I still had a bank balance life.

Am happy by the way to switch to another date to accomodate mums wanting to avoid half term, if others want to switch, though personally I can't do the week 9-14 June because of exams.

Oh, and totally random thought here but I thought I would flag 2nd/3rd Aug for everyone as the date for this year's Innocent Summer Fete - brilliant stuff if any of you haven't been before. Maybe we should do a major meet-up there as well....

MrsRecycle · 14/05/2008 12:31

half term week - can't do . Can I just add though that I think you should arrange this meet-up a bit more privately? I've started an email group, CAT me if you want to add your name to it and I'll happy administer it. I've contacted laura/MPoppins.

What I'm thinking is that although someone can no longer post, they can certainly lurk and we don't want to run the risk of your evening being a night to remember for all the wrong reasons do we? What do you think?

mummypoppins · 14/05/2008 12:34

good idea.........vw emailed me at home last night and I replied with my support. Home email is hollygreenfarmhouse @ b t internet.com

I take you point, MrsR, but I'm not going to run and hide. If I did that, I'd be letting her spoil my beloved mumsnet. And I simply won't have it. There is no other chat place like mumsnet. And I want to talk to my virtual friends (saddo that I am) right HERE.

I think the poster to whom we all refer has probably had enough herself. I don't think she'll start stalking anyone else. Besides, I know the people who have signed up. So she can't pretend anything.

And hey if she really wants to come but I think she'll be disappointed when she finds us discussing things that have nothing to do with her and her friend.

I think VW will probably come back most people do but I think she needs some time to cool off... understandably.

MrsRecycle · 14/05/2008 12:48

I know you'd say that AN but more eloquently put. Personally (since she published personal info about me and I had nothing to do with her whatsoever) I would rather talk about meet-ups away from this section. Poor VW has had a real affect by her and I do recall when I first came on MN I had similar treatment and wanted to leave but you persuaded me otherwise AN.

AtheneNoctua · 14/05/2008 12:57

Actually, I suppose I don't have all the facts since I missed her grnde finale thread yesterday.

No idea what she said to/about me.

OP posts:
AtheneNoctua · 14/05/2008 12:58

I mean you, not me.

helpwithnanny · 14/05/2008 17:04

AN- I saw her message yesterday and was surprised it was pulled.

She said something about VW needed to make the yahoo group private as you could read the messages without being a member, and she was right, if you signed out you could read but not post . She posted a few bland quotes from the yahoo group on the thread, didn't think it was anything personal though. And there were some responses to a couple of VWs points, but I thought it was more along the lines of, if you are going to post then at least make it private. Looked like she had been very careful with her wording.

She must have been when she read it though as were some pretty bad things said about her on the yahoo group, not that she didn't deserve it!

She did apologise to VW too apparently

Hopefully now she is banned all will quieten down.
