Nanny / Au Pair Employers night out 30th May in London (near Victoria station)

So after this weeks shenanigans I think we should all go out and have some fun.

I have roped Squiffy into it (although a lot of arm twisting was not needed).

So, here's the deal (if Squiffy agrees):
Noura in Belgravis
7:00 onwards

If anyone wants to meet for drink before dinner I'm sure we can organise a nearby pub. I probably won't make until dinner but feel free to get started without me.

I'm a lurker, post sometimes in the form of nanny advice (im one of THOSE) does being banned mean she can't come back?

Her behaviour was a bit too rude, offputting (if thats a word) and like she was ALWAYS trying to start something.

Have followed a few of the posts that "developed" under her instigation and as a very young nanny (21) whom you'd perhaps expect that kind of behaviour from (i wouldn't dream of it, some of you guys are waaaaaay scary) i say good riddance to bad rubbish.

Will say that i'm not sure who Victoria Woolf is but that might indicate that she's not a trouble maker etc please come back Victoria Woolf!!!

gosh abc we are not scary.....most of us are very soft and feel bad if the nanny relationship goes wrong. The problem is that we are only human too and as I have said before mumsnet is a great leveller.

jennj was very arrogant and none of us have the right to be that whomever we areand what ever walk of life.

I need my bed..have an 8am meeting tomorrow. YUK!

I would love to meet up, but it's a little far to travel. I really hope the nanny employer threads can continue, as I have found them incredibly useful (and live in the hope that my tuppence may help someone as well ).

I think I may have missed some drama, non? I don't think I can cat - mummypoppins - I hope you don't mind if I e-mail you?

I am so totally out of the loop as I have absolutely no idea what is going on.

I'd love to come to Victoria but I'm flying back from Africa (work not fun I promise) that day so I'll have to see how it goes. Is that all right?
And also Mrs R, I haven't had an invite to your exclusive club and I assume this is an oversight

Oh, here it is. I forgot this was in the nanny section. Couldn't find it in meet-ups. But, LA has set me back on course and pointed me over her.

But....

Last time I saw this thread there were only 2 of us on it... and one or two maybes. So, figuring it was going to get cancelled I promised DH that I wasn't going out on Friday. Bugger bugger bugger....

So, unless I can persuade you guys to reschedule, I'm going to miss it. Damn! I hate to miss a party. I'm pathetic, I know.

WEll, I watch the thread and if others would be happy to change the date I'm in. But, I'll have to miss it if it stays this Friday.

I was born on Friday 13th - lucky from my perspective, probably not from DM's (given I was six weeks premature).

13th then? what's the etiquette - do we need to start another thread? Shall we stick with the "employers" theme or go for something more inclusive?

I think if we start a new thread with a completely different title people might not realise it't the same event on a new date.

Maybe we should just continue this thread?
