Morning! Wakey wakey, rise and shine!!

The weather is looking lovely again today so out on an outing to either the beach or the farm! 2 mindees (unless one is off again) and dd to take with me!

DH back from Canada today so we are very much looking forward to that! Although he's unhappily still waiting for his baggage at Heathrow so goodness how long he will be there waiting, poor thing! Thankfully it's T4 not T5 so hopefully his baggage will actually arrive

BoysAreLikeDogs · 17/04/2008 08:28

Morning all

Just one mindee today, due here at 10 am; my boys are on a sleepover at my mum's so quiet here this morning.

mumlove · 17/04/2008 09:19

Morning everyone.

2 mindees today, we are going to toddler group in 30 mins to see our friends and have a lovely play.
We still have nice sunshine here but the wind is making it cold and 1 mindee has come without a coat , it's not summer yet!!

crace · 17/04/2008 09:22

Morning gals - my usual two mindees. Have a visitor coming in the am to play and then liberry (as dd says it) in the pm

Still taking it easy - not sleeping at night due to bloody heartburn

shoshe · 17/04/2008 09:24

MMMMMM I have no children! One Gone to the Dentist, One not in yet (running late) and one gone to See Thomas the Tank Engine!

Tea and Toast time I think

Morning all

12 month old in bed, 15 month old not turned up yet (been off this week as parents off and they've been away but she's due back today). 4 year old is term time only and her lovely mum is taking her and my ds (now 5, can't believe how grown up he is now!) off to a farm park today which he's dead excited about

I should be taking the two 1 year olds to toddler group when naptime is over but with one of them still not here and the other being full of cold and in a right grotty mood anyway, I think I'll give it a miss.

Oh, mindee arrived!!!

shoshe · 17/04/2008 09:49

Didnt get my tea, they both arrived at once!

OP posts:
looneytune · 17/04/2008 09:52

Well, mindee arrived and needed to go straight to bed as shattered after all the travelling last night. So, both in bed and definitely no toddler group today. Think I'll put the kettle on, shame I'm out of Mars bars

looneytune · 17/04/2008 09:52

What a pain shoshe

crace · 17/04/2008 10:04

Ok, this is hilarious - Mr Tumble as Cliff Richard - safe so feel free to show the kiddies. They were all in hysterics

looneytune · 17/04/2008 10:17

Cheers crace, will have a look in a bit.

I'm sat here in SILENCE, it's sooooo lovely Both littlies asleep, ds been collected (ok, it was a MAD 10 mins when they picked up as not seen mindee since week before last and they were both over excited lol) and now it's JUST ME down here. It's very strange though.

Think I'll phone my sister as I never get to have a peaceful conversation so I'm making the most of it

MaureenMLove · 17/04/2008 13:36

Afternoon all. Can I just say, Shoshe was an embarrassment in the bar last night! She was drinking straight from the optics and threw up all over my yeti boots! I had to carry her home! I was nothing to do with me, she was in a very skittish mood. The sooner her bike jumping DH gets home, the better!

shoshe · 17/04/2008 13:41

Twas all your fauly Mo, if you had come in earlier, I would ahve somebody to make me behave [

BTW, your Yetis are drying out on my line

anyway, glad to hear you're all enjoying the sun/peace! can anyone help me here please!

MaureenMLove · 17/04/2008 17:03

Yoooohoooo! Anyone about? Just wanted to nake sure everyone is OK. I will lurk, outrageously, on the PG MNers' thread in a minute, just to check there to!

Well, house is spit spot and ready for me to be a WOHM! Gutted DD's bedroom today, whilst she's away. Hopefully, she won't notice the crap that's missing, since it looks really beautiful. I give it 20 mins, once she's home, before it looks like she's been burgled again! I keep having a look at it and wishing I had a bedroom that lovely, when I was little!

KatyMac · 17/04/2008 17:08

Thanks for the cream cake

It's very difficult to explain without sounding like a selfish self-centred cow

The gentleman I was leasing the barn from to do my nursery (a man I have great respect and affection for) died on Monday night.

I am deeply upset for his family (whom I also know well, count as good friends and care for) but I am struggling to deal with how this will affect the nursery as we had not signed contracts

This is by way of an explanation, I don't think I am ready yet to discuss it so don't all jump on me and give me advise - I need to live with it for a bit and come to terms with it all.

Sorry

shoshe · 17/04/2008 17:08

Awww Mo was you deprived of a girly bedroom,
Make DH let you have one now

Are you getting nervous love

OP posts:
shoshe · 17/04/2008 17:10

Oh Katy, you poor soul, hope things work out.

OP posts:
MaureenMLove · 17/04/2008 17:16

Aw Katy. We're here, when you're ready.

Not nervous at all, Shoshe! I can't bloody wait to get dressed! I keep looking in my wardrobe to decide what I'm wearing! The one thing I'm struggling with, is not having time during the day to organise dinner and doing little chores around the house when time permits. I think I'm forgetting that I'll be finished by 3! Trouble is, for the last 12 years, between 3 and 6 has been my busiest time. I keep forgetting that when I'm done at 3 - I'm done! I keep thinking I should do a big shop, to make sure DH & DD have everything they need, but they are both perfectly capable of doing it themselves. TBH, I just know that they will both look after my food needs all next week anyway!

I'm sure I did have a girlie bedroom, but I kinda erased my life before my DD (dad) died, when I was 11. I can't remember anything pre-11!

southernbelle77 · 17/04/2008 18:01

Can i just come in and collapse in a heap please?!!

What a lovely day at the beach! Very sunny and extremely extremely windy! But great fun (after an initial 10 minutes of tears and 'tantrums' from mindees!!

And working tomorrow too which I hardly ever do! Definitely earnt my money this week (even though I had yesterday unexpectedly off, I still had 3 kids in the house!!)

DH home too, although back in the office at the moment! Will be having a nice relaxing night tonight

MaureenMLove · 17/04/2008 18:04

I've just offered to have my neighbours kids for a couple of hours tomorrow, whilst DH takes him to collect his car from a garage some distance away! DH said, the kids were going with them, but I said I'd have them! I'm I mad! Apart from it being my very last day off, I have nothing for them to do here!

Mind you, since I'm not governed by Ofsted now, they could just watch the telly, whilst I sit in the Staff room!

crace · 17/04/2008 18:10

How does that work, Mo -did you tell Ofsted?

Katy {{HUGS}} As Mo said, when you are ready - and by the sounds of it, you aren't being selfish. Remember this is your dream and you are entitled to feel however you darn want to. Your feelings are entirely valid. Hang in there x

Yo EM and SB! EM, fabbo to see you again my dear

crace · 17/04/2008 18:12

And Shoshe, of course doh!

And did NO ONE look at Mr Tumble as Cliff Richard. My daughter has a "thang" for Mr Tumble, so I might be a bit partial to him myself.

Heard from jobcentre - MA is a GO. Phew, I have to send a form back when I finish 2 weeks tomorrow. (If I survive that is) Kind of crapping myself, only 5 weeks tomorrow until the c/s. Crap Crap Crap

And my little mindee is going to his new temp mindee next week for a settling in sesh. Sniff sniff

mumlove · 17/04/2008 18:14

Hello, I have just had a lovely toasted chicken sandwich and scrummy choc muffin for tea as thats what I wanted, I couldn't of had it if DD was here as she would of wanted some but she's at brownies until 7.15pm and DH has just said that he will go and collect her , I am going to watch tv and put for feet up for an hour.

Mo - Have you brought yourself a nice new lunchbox to take with you?
