yum nutella

nope i'm not working today! this is my scheduled day off & and i'm taking dd to the cinema to see "spiderwick" and clothes shopping [empty wallet for me then!!!]

dp still has the dreaded manFlu there may soon be a mercy killing . . . . it' kill or cure he has got ds to look after today

katymac i don't understand why you are a bitch and a cow? is it because your glad your ex-employee is going to the crappy nursery? maybe she'll come crawling back once she realises how awfull it is.

i've so enjoyed not working this week and spending "quality" time with my family that i'm seriously considering packing in the childminding

vInTaGeVioLeT · 10/04/2008 08:59

the only thing that's really stopping me is
a/ the money
b/ the guilt of letting people down
c/ ds loves having someone different to play with everyday!!!

shoshe · 10/04/2008 09:01

Have put a bit in health here

OOOOhhhhh what its like to be wanted by the BigG, have replied.

mumlove · 10/04/2008 09:35

Morning.

I am here, just been sorting out DD and mindees. We are going to toddler group once I have packed the bag.
The sun is shinning again so that helps.

crace · 10/04/2008 09:39

Nah we've been up since our usual 6.45 as first mindee here early doors. Just made our handprint lambs (thanks SB!!) that was great fun, and dead easy but look darn cute.

Mindees birthday so will be having a little party for her later - she's just 2 bless her.

DH just phoned from America - looking at houses while he is there as the market is soooo bad and we are thinking of buying one and renting it out so we have a house there (just a small one mind) in case we wanted to go back. Awww bless him for thinking of me. The tenant would cover the mortgage just about plus the market is SO SO bad right now, you can get good deals. Something to think about anyway!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 10/04/2008 09:47

Hi all

Not supposed to be working this week but one of my sets of parents has a family funeral tomororrow so the children are coming here for a few hours today to enable them to do last minute things then they are coming to me tomorrow for the afternoon

mumlove · 10/04/2008 13:39

Just had lunch and put mindees to sleep, going to sit and have a coffee with biccys. I have plenty to share .

KatyMac · 10/04/2008 14:21

crace · 10/04/2008 15:28

MaureenMLove · 10/04/2008 16:11

Hi girls, just having a little lurk, to make sure you're all ok! Met ElleanorsMum this morning. She came to rif me of a sandpit. Only 3 more prams to go! Netmums is looking promising. Off to get a 3D preview of our dream kitchen in a bit. We have opted for including everything our hearts desire for the first stage. Then, when they give us the price and scrape us off the floor, we'll started taking things out!

mumlove · 10/04/2008 16:14

crace - It was meant to mean that I have lots of coffee and biccys to share.

I can always share my 7yr old as she is driving me up the wall at the moment.

crace · 10/04/2008 16:34

HA! GOOOOTTTCCHHHA

No, I need no more children around thanks much! Though I will consider trading an anti-sleeping, stubborn 2.5 yo?

Mo- sooo what's she like?! We did that last weekend, we have an extension off the kitchen which was badly done so the estimate for a kitchen was £8k. Out of our budget doesn't even cover it But as you say, it was the "wouldn't that be nice" bits that will have to go.

MaureenMLove · 10/04/2008 16:39

A very nice lady, just normal, like the rest of us. (I think!) She didn't stop, she had a car full of children, but I managed to palm off some craft books to her too and an NCMA accident book! She's in charge of all things crafty now! I know she has 2 christmas books, an Easter book and a fairy book!

MaureenMLove · 10/04/2008 16:41

Wanna see what kitchen I'm after? It will look something like this, certainly with the island unit. Its the clever storage solutions that will have to go!

crace · 10/04/2008 16:42

Normal? You sure that is an appropriate word for the Staff room ladies?

MaureenMLove · 10/04/2008 16:45

Well, yes, the thought did cross my mind!

ROSEgarden · 10/04/2008 16:46

OMG MO, that is tooooo weird!..that is MY NEW kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!.or rather will soon!..how strange..what is it costing you and how big is it(what units do you need?) we havent got quote of them yet!

OP posts:
MaureenMLove · 10/04/2008 16:49

I'll let you know in a couple of hours, we're going now. I may need a large brandy when I get back! The kitchen space is quite big. Bit difficult to explain the size, but I'll let you know how many units later.

MaureenMLove · 10/04/2008 16:50

Have the insurance company come good?

southernbelle77 · 10/04/2008 16:52

Hi all! Not working today but thought I'd pop in as been out all day and need a cuppa! And I'll nab one of your biccies ML if they ar on offer!!

Ooh Maureen, I think that's the exact same kitchen that a friend of mine is getting!

Had a lovely day with just dd today. Went to see her friend from preschool which was nice. Had a nasty 'its a behavioural issue' botty incident whilst there which is always nice - not . How longs does one leave it to be just a 'phase' ?? lol!

Just making lasagne for dinner so best go check it!

vInTaGeVioLeT · 10/04/2008 18:51

katyM you are evil

well i've had a lovely day with my dd we went to see "spiderwick" it was really really good - then we hit yes i know it's unethical BUT i'd promised clothes and i've earnt nothing this week got loads for dd and loads for ds and stuff for me too nothing for dp as he refuses to wear anything from primark {snobby}

i never spend time with just dd so it was lovely and we got on - NO rows!!!!

KatyMac · 10/04/2008 18:53

VV.....I thought that

shoshe · 10/04/2008 19:12
