From my experience, they normally put on 2 stone after the photo is taken anyway or turn up with facial piercings. I take no interest in the photo whatsoever.

Mr kitty, lol. Better not get excited. Photo will be the best aupair has ever looked in recent life. Reality often brings you down with a thud.

Well I'll eat my words - our new AP turned up and had lost two stone after her picture was taken. Mind you she's had a lot of stress so not surprised. Old AP leaves today

Oh and kitty the new one is the eldest from a family of 11 siblings - she was interested in us because the amount of children we had.

I have to say, that is a relatively tame picture compared to some that came attached to recent nanny applications we had (not so many bikini shots, but quite a few cropped out having a drink and a laugh in the evening pictures. I think she looks fine, and would definitely trust my instinct in an interview, and not base it solely on the pic. She is probably trying to look like fun for the children. Woo hoo.
Mind you, I didn't interview a rather gorgeous looking young nanny when I was pregnant and feeling less than gorgeous, on the basis of her photo alone. She has been known since then as "the hottie from croydon" (accompanied by gentle sigh of regret from dh... haha!)

At least she is in a kitchen. Perhaps she is full of the joys of life at the pros[ect of tackling the giant sink full of washing up that is just out of view.....
