Well its been awhile since I opened up, but was up and at Tori32's at 5.00am, to collect her DD, as she was FINALLY in labour, brought the LO back to mine when she awoke at 6, and we have just stuffed ourselves with toasted tea cakes for breakfast

Morning. Oh how exciting. I'd have been here earlier, but its pay day today, so I had check my bank account. I hate payday, more than the day before, you know. I knew we had no money yesterday and now I've just watched as a large chunk of lovely money disappeared to various fat cat utility companies! Still, there's certainly enough for a shopping day today! I want, I want, I want!

Between now and the end, I've got 4 full days minding and 7 after school days!

LoveMyGirls · 26/03/2008 07:57

Hey everyone,

Busy busy today! Had a busy day yesterday too and went swimming last night, i don't feel like i've slept because i kept waking up for no reason! We're going out to do a lot of craft stuff today with a bit of chilling out about lunch time while the littlies have their nap so I might pop back here then. If anything like yesterday the day will fly by!

eleanorsmum · 26/03/2008 08:09

hello all. been up since 4 this morn! worrying about my scan today, am excited too but also paranoid they won't find anything! dh has managed to get time off school this morn. he's gone in for 1 lesson then hopes to be back by lunchtime. so pleased he's coming. dd is off to a friend this morn who can take her to school aswell. so i'll only have two mindees strapped into twin buggy! have packed nibbles and books for them both!

have a good day all, will report back later....................

MaureenMLove · 26/03/2008 08:10

I was going to ask this question to the general public, but on reflection, someone will get the wrong end of the stick and flame me, so I'm asking you instead!

My great aunt has been sucking up to my nan for about the last 10 years or so, mainly since she started getting ill. Both my DB and I think she has designs on her money. My nan died last week and I was wondering if anyone knows how long between funeral and monies being divided up. I know, I know, it sounds dreadful doesn't it? But really, I just think the sh*t is going to hit the fan and I want to be ready for it! I know everything is straight forward. My DB is executor of the will and I signed to say I was happy with that.

saltire · 26/03/2008 08:14

These things can take a while Mo. If your borther is executor, then he should (I would hav ethought) have a rough idea whats in the will, although to be honest I'm not sure how these things work. Does an executor hand out the money or does the solicitor do it?

MaureenMLove · 26/03/2008 08:18

Oh good. I've got too much going on for the next few weeks to be bothered with irrate aunties! I'll leave it to DB to deal with when he has to, I think! I wouldn't mind, but I'm pretty sure she had pennies and not pounds!

saltire · 26/03/2008 08:24

There is nothing worse than families and wills! When my Great uncle died years ago, he hadn't left a will, apart from a stipulation that I had to get a very old family heirloom, which was a local history book. Anyway, when his estate was divided up, the solicitor said it had to be divided between his remaining siblings and my mum - because her mother, the sister of gt uncle had died. Well my great aunt went off on one big time, calling my mum all sorts of names.

shoshe · 26/03/2008 08:27

They have sent Tori home, but they reckon she will be back in later, am keeping her DD here tho instaed of back and forward

I hate the thought of it all tbh. My non-related aunt has said to me, 'well you and db should get everything' since my dad has already died and we are her only grandchildren. Frankly, I couldn't care less if she sends it all the Cats Protection League, but I know this other aunt will!

MaureenMLove · 26/03/2008 08:29

Oh no! I bet she's p*ssed off!

iMum · 26/03/2008 08:39

Hello Shoshe, I am new.

Saz73 · 26/03/2008 12:36

Hi everyone

Need some more advice and you're all the best people to ask.

I care for a 10mth and just recently he's got very fussy with food. Parents send him with lunch everyday and it's home made and smells lovely, but he has two spoonfuls and rejects the rest, it is quite lumpy so I tried whizzing it down to make it smoother but still didn't want it. Try him with yoghurt/pudding/breakfast ceral and he loves it. Any suggestions I can give the parents?

shoshe · 26/03/2008 12:56

Tori has gone back in again, apparently things have got a bit quicker.

Keep us updated shoshe!

MaureenMLove · 26/03/2008 13:13

Afternoon all! Nice day today, innit? Good to hear baby is on its way Shoshe. Hoe she's doing ok.

Saz, I would say just keep trying. He's only 10 months, so its still all new to him. Even if he has to eat the same thing that he does like for days on end, it won't hurt. Obviously, not just sweet stuff though. I take it you do all the silly noises & aeroplanes etc?

crace · 26/03/2008 13:29

{PS - anyone really glad not to be a nanny right now?}

sorry, only joking OF COURSE

Saz73 · 26/03/2008 13:30

I do make all the silly noises, actions etc and do what he thinks of it all as he sits there starring with the occ laugh and a look on his facing saying 'shut up you mad woman'

nannynick · 26/03/2008 13:30

I think I'm going to go into hiding... I'm a nanny, I'm not a parent, I'm not even female. Hide Me

crace · 26/03/2008 13:32

LOL Nick! PSML

{Searches for pitchfork and torch}

MaureenMLove · 26/03/2008 13:39

What's happened then? I figured there was some sort of problem, I've just read the thread that you started, Nick. I shall go searching...

crace · 26/03/2008 13:46

The probationary period one.

MaureenMLove · 26/03/2008 13:50

I've looked. My brain is too muzzy to take it in though tbh! I managed to head off a migraine early. I had the fuzzy eye thing and quickly took some pills, but I'm not there were far too many words to take it all in! Ordinary, unoffensive, happy smiley posts only for me today!
