Well its been awhile since I opened up, but was up and at Tori32's at 5.00am, to collect her DD, as she was FINALLY in labour, brought the LO back to mine when she awoke at 6, and we have just stuffed ourselves with toasted tea cakes for breakfast

We come as a pair! Love me, love my mate - its the rules!

So, didn't want to hijack too much on that thread, but I love that road too. Rannoch Moor is so hauntingly beautiful. I love the two wee white bridges that you go over. One at the bottom and one at the top, where you can look back down on where you've come from. you always see the first Highland Piper on the outlook at the top too> I love the barrier which says 'SNOW - ROAD CLOSED' too! One day, I'm gonna get myself through that barrier just before it snows, so I can't come back again for weeks!

MaureenMLove · 26/03/2008 18:46

Oooh! I've just seen they sell Heather Cream online! Far, far, far superior to Baileys. May just have to make my first purchase of the new financial month, since I feel a bit cheated that I didn't go out shopping on payday!

Anyway Shoshe, I thought you'd want to stay with me in 2012 for the Olympics. I'm only 10 mins away from O2 and 20 mins away from the Olympic Stadium! Good rates on the B&B for early booking!

saltire · 26/03/2008 18:48

Ooh, Stirling is nice. Dh used to referee along that way quite often. I love Stirling Castle. We had a lovely child free day there last year before we moved
Shoshe you used to be able to get discount on entrance to Blair Drummond on showing the Forces ID card. Don't know if it still applies, but worth asking about if you ever go there

shoshe · 26/03/2008 18:53

Ooooo! Harsh words, about my beloved London town. Its costing me a damn fortune in extra council tax, the least I can do is try to raked some back from B&B!

shoshe · 26/03/2008 18:59

Did you have one of those long cossies and a little cap!

DH swims. He was asked to join the local swimming club a while back. He does it for fun though and didn't fancy the early Saturday and Sunday mornings. He, my db and our friend are doing the London Triathlon in June. DH swims, DB is doing the bike (does the London to Brighton bike race) and friend is doing the run. That's in Canary Wharf, I think. Must check his tetenus is up-to-date! They're doing it for charidee!

shoshe · 26/03/2008 19:19

After growing up in the Far East and spending everyday swimming we looked like good swimmers when we returned to Britain, we weren't, just looked like it
