Morning!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Slightly better afternoon apart from having to move the boys apart in the car seats putting SAHmindee Girl in the middle as the whole time we waited to pick up the schoolies, they fought!

6 more days then the older of the boys is lewaving, and a 13 month old girl is starting, not that that is much better as she is already with another CM here and follows my 14 month old boy around as it is and copies EVERYTHING he does!!!

shoshe · 18/03/2008 15:38

Belle, it really is that type of day isnt it!

southernbelle77 · 18/03/2008 16:21

Yes Shoshe, it really is! At least the afternoon is anyway!! Had quite a nice morning but it's all gone to pot!! Not sure my ears can handle whinging anymore! DD was whinging because she wants to sleep and I won't let her and mindee is not very happy as he has just woken up (of his own accord) so I have 'that' sound in my ears!

On the plus side, we made bonnets earlier and I have to say, I'm quite impressed, even if I do say so myself!! DD has a bonnet competition at preschool after the easter holidays so I'm hoping it will last until then. Think I might have to hide it as I really don't want to have to make another one as it was quite hard work!!

And to jump on the band wagon - I really dislike pull ups! My mindees all have them for no reason whatsoever as none of them are even considering training yet! Does anyone else find that they just sag down quite a lot, even when dry?! And they leak too!!

Sorry you didn't get a longer nap Crace.

Hope the funeral isn't too early for you Mo!

Hope you're enjoying your quiet day today LT. Think you need it after the weekend.

Hi to everyone else

Hi All, not had chance to catch up so hope everyones day has been good???

been to see mam/brother, hes better but still in a lot of pain, he IS pressing charges(going to see his solicitor)

crace · 18/03/2008 19:47

Rose, I am so pleased - as well he should! It does take a lot of guts, so well done to bro.

Mo- just seen, am very sorry about your nan. I know 95 is fair good going ,but it's still sad when they go.

DH lost his nanny this past July (just before his birthday no less) at 99. Yes, 99. She and I shared our birthday actually and last Friday she would have been 100. There is my birthday forever ruined for them! Anyway, just wanted to say am thinking of you x

Violet, nice easy day too then!

SB - put your feet up love, day is almost done! And same for you shoshe!

soory...so will wait to hear what they say, police want to have her sent to prison for it!!! and said there was enough damage done to do just that!!!

Just had a call from mindee whoes last day it was tomorrow(the lovely mindee with the parents who just pulled him out and put in nursery without wanting to work notice!)..mindees mum has been ill at work today and mindee complaining of ear achesad], so he wont be coming tomorrow..his last day..we had a party organised, present, easter egg for weekend..she asked if he could come next week instead of tomorrow(this is the family famous for this) so against my heart i said no, that i had retained tomorrow for him so if was unwell she would still have to pa, i did say that if she was stuck next week i would have him?..but she isnt..im really sad he wont be here for last day but i fear she would have kept this going in order to get out of the last weeks payment, its been awful this past 6 weeks him working notice..so guna do a disk of pics of mindee now for them from his time here and hope i see him around?

KaySamuels · 18/03/2008 19:52

Yes I still get paid if I am available (thank god)!

ROSE, glad your brother is gradually on the mend and that he is pressing charges.

VI - nice to have unexected time off isn't it!

I like to plan my day though!

MaureenMLove · 18/03/2008 20:41

Gosh, isn't bottling your own wine fun! (hic!)

Just had a quick read through, been busy today making sticky pictures with mindee. Very funny, she kept getting the sticky side stuck to her fingers and she thought it was hilarious!

Posted a message on your thread about DB Rose.

Off to collect DD from Guides in a minute. She's been doing a first aid course, so I may have to lie down and play dead when she comes in!

KaySamuels · 18/03/2008 20:49

Sorry mml - just read thread through rather than rushing in and out, sorry to hear about your nan, glad to hear your big girl shoe collection is coming along. My mum does home brew - it's potent stuff!

ROSE I did wonder if police would prosecute regardless of your brother's wishes, I know a couple where the police told the injured party that it was out of their hands, and they would be prosecuting regardless. Don't know if this is just a local thing though.

To be able to do that to your poor db and then stomp out shows something is unhinged. Maybe it will be easier for your brother if she does receive a sentence? {hugs}

ROSEgarden · 18/03/2008 21:12

just a quicky trying to burn to disc pics of mindee for his parnts fr tomorrow..kay, yes my cousin also thinks thats the case re the police prosicuting??

vInTaGeVioLeT · 18/03/2008 21:55

ROSE my DP is a PC - he said yes a prosecution can be made without victims consent BUT asked how the police know of the incident?

by the way i was really sorry to hear what had happened to him - i haven't been reading staffroom much lately so i'm a bit out of touch

ROSEgarden · 19/03/2008 10:12

Hi Vi, thanks for asking him for me, my brother when arriving at second hospital on wednesday night/early hours thur morn was asked by hops WHO he wanted to speak to as he had to speak to one of them, it had to be ss or police..he said he wasnt botherd as long as he spoke to one of thm..which he then did, now as he was in a mess hes not sure(so hes told me) which he actually reported it too, however, they took photographs of his injury both then and during when in surgery(?), so I am guessing it was police!?
According to her brother, the police have been to their house everyday since it happend??..wether this is to take statements or to check on the children i dont know?
He contacted his solicitor last night who is putting him in touch with family lawyer as he does want her to pay for what shes done..so do you think the police will already be making a case against her?, why would they be visiting evryday??..your dh might not know this, but am at a loss here!
