Hi Em - he phoned last night and sprung that he's asked his mum to come and watch the kids so I can meet him in London for a fancy Mexican at this place I have been banging on about for a while.

Although sweet, I had to rush around last night to make sure house was suitable for an overnight guest (changing sheets) need to make them all dinner as well. I am not sure I feel up to it to be honest, I am shattered on Fridays anyway, besides being 29 weeks and HUGE.

I am thinking about it. As for a card, nope. He apparently put it in his colleagues pocket while at an event and they are off to Germany today - with my card I believe him, only this sort of thing happens to him.

eleanorsmum · 14/03/2008 08:24

aw bless at leats he's done soemthing and maybe eh does listen as its a place you wanted to go to. unfortunate that you'll be tired etc and huge but you'll probably love it when you get there and egt going on mexican food yum! try and enjoy your day!

Em I have posted on your thread

MaureenMLove · 14/03/2008 10:18

Morning girls! Happy Birthday Crace. You sound just like me! I can hear myself saying exactly the same as you! 'I'm really not fussed, darling!' O#d forgive the card too. In fact, I've been forgiving the Christmas card for 17 years!

Very late in this morning and I haven't really got time to stop now, but I wanted to wish you Happy Birthday and check in on Rose, poor thing. Hope she's OK.

Me and mindee have been to the shops to buy Shredded Wheat for chocolate birds nests. We've made them. (Abley assisted by mindee - lick one, fill one!) Now he is napping and I'm going to try to declutter some of my CM stuff!

looneytune · 14/03/2008 10:20

Morning all. Just put mindee down for a nap and going to have something to eat in a mo. I feel dreadful and spaced out today, I really don't know what's going on. I've felt flushed all week and some certain things down below getting worse (won't go into details in the staff room ) but today I keep feeling like I'm going to faint. Never fainted in my life and don't bloomin intend to but gosh, it's hard just walking up the stairs to put mindee down for a nap!! Got 2nd part of First Aid training tomorrow so no lie in but I'll see if I can go back to bed at some point! Will probably go straight to bed when mindee goes home tonight!

crace - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I'm sure once you're out you'll love the mexican! I went out for best mates hen night a few weeks ago and had mexican and it was LOVELY, first time ever and I didn't want to go out but really enjoyed being able to eat everything on my plate!

EllieM - that's terrible, no way would I put up with that!! Must be someone you can complain to!

Rose - just been catching up with everything and can't believe what's happened Big {{{ hugs }}} and I just hope and pray that your db is lucky and it's not as bad as they are worried about! Will be thinking of you xx

Right, I need food and a cup of tea! Today is my no group day so I'm just going to chill whilst mindee is napping and hope that eating makes me feel better.

Have a good day everyone

looneytune · 14/03/2008 10:21

Hi boys and Mo

BoysAreLikeDogs · 14/03/2008 10:33

Am loafing for half hour then off for PTA meeting.

looneytune · 14/03/2008 10:34

I'm in tears now TOTALLY FORGOT that my friend booked me with her 2 kids for this afternoon I feel dreadful and can't back out but I just can't do this today!!!! Oh well, will fight it and hope it's not as bad as last week when I had them!!! GRRRRR

crace · 14/03/2008 10:53

Oh LT, how awful Hang in there, and take care of yourself, no fainting now! I think that is the bit that worries me the most about this job - I have 2 friends on standby who know where to find lists of numbers and emergency contacts. Yeesh, the stress of it!

Hi Mo! He's a nut what can I say. The thought was there. men

Hi boys!!

Thanks for all the well wishes, wish I felt better today and not so darn tired so can't even look forward to tonight. I am looking forward to an hour BY MYSELF on a train though Peace, for an hour!!!

Only one 1/2 day mindee today, other is ill and not coming but means I can head out 5pm instead of 6 so an earlier night now!

looneytune · 14/03/2008 10:57

crace - this is the thing, I've never fainted before but I'm freaking out today worrying about things happening whilst looking after lo. And now on top of that, I have 2 more coming which I'd forgotten about, one who will wants me to do loads and loads and I'd just got it in my head that I can manage with baby today if I just take it easy. My head is spinning thinking about it. Oh....to be employed right now! Enjoy your meal out and great news about having a shorter day (not that they are ill but ykwim )

MaureenMLove · 14/03/2008 11:28

Looney - take care of yourself. Can you set the kids to something, whereby you can lie on the settee and watch them? When's your next appointment? Fainting is a blood pressure thing isn't it?

looneytune · 14/03/2008 11:39

Mo - my current 12 month old would happily play with toys so she's fine, I'm sure my friend's 19 month old would too but it's the nearly 5 year old I'm more worried about as she constantly wants to do stuff WITH HELP And when she arrived last week, she was having a huge tantrum and chucking things about when she was dropped off as she wanted to stay at home. I just don't have the energy for all this today And yes, blood pressure very likely to be the problem. I've been told to be careful anyway as my blood pressure has been low since they first checked at 6 weeks pg, and it's lower each time they take it. Last time was 90/50 and they said to be careful and let them know if I become really faint etc. Well, this has happened today and I'm wondering what my blood pressure is right now! I'm on 2nd part of first aid training tomorrow and might ask if they'd mind taking my BP during the break, just so I know what it is. I'm due to see the Dr on Tuesday for my 25 week check (which was supposed to be this Wednesday but didn't want to let parents down and couldn't carry an 11 month and 12 month old into the surgery on my own so cancelled)

Sorry feel full of self pity when there are MUCH worse things going on i.e. Rose's db Just worry in case something happens.

ROSEgarden · 14/03/2008 11:44

Happy Birthday Chick..sorry your not wel lloony..hope their easy on you this afternoon?
hello to you all, just not got chance to chat, have updated on the other thread, will know more after 1pm today, mindees must know im stressed as even my bestest most eprfect mindee has been a terror today..off to nursery then take two younger ones to park, hopefully theyll nap on way home.x

looneytune · 14/03/2008 11:49

Just been catching up Rose, can't believe those calls he's been getting Will look later for an update and in the meantime, keep everything crossed for you xxx

MaureenMLove · 14/03/2008 12:12

If the 5 year old is your friends lo, are they actually mindee children, in that you are getting paid for it? In other words, I'm sure you can explain to your friend that you won't be doing much with them, because you feel unwell.

Will check in with you Rose.

looneytune · 14/03/2008 12:22

Friend yes, but being paid as a cm. She knows I feel terrible today but still wants me to have them as she needs a break, I really do feel for her, just wish I wasn't feeling on the verge of collapse, feeling very floaty right now. I'll see what I can get away with but the other times I've had them, I've been nagged if I've tried to do something for just 5 mins i.e. make my lunch!! Don't get me wrong, lovely kids etc, just haven't felt like this and it's freaking me out. I just want to make it to the end of the day!

Best go, they'll be here in a min.

MaureenMLove · 14/03/2008 12:24

Please take care. God, how can I possibly go out to work and not worry about you lot!

looneytune · 14/03/2008 12:25

LOL

I feel better just moaning on here Not so isolated alone iyswim?!

crace · 14/03/2008 12:42

LT - I agree, getting it out on paper is sooo fab. Hang in there, I would park 5 yo in front of a movie to be honest and just tell your friend today is an "easy day". I doubt she cares, it's the break she wants!

Rose, thinking of you, update us when you can. Sorry it has to be such a drama, he'll be better off at your mums as soon as. x

Mo, you will just have to visit won't you?!

Been to our village cafe this am and let kids run around for an hour, they filled up on goodies and not much on lunch (oops) but it was healthy goodies!

Came home and a friend from the states had sent a balloon in a box with a choccie bar. DD has now stolen said balloon and running around like a loon. So friend has 1) given me a lovely surprise and 2) gave my dd the highlight of her day. Fab!

MaureenMLove · 14/03/2008 12:51

I will certainly visit! I'll be finished from work by 3.30 everyday AND I'll be free as a bird for every school holiday!

I have been like a whirlwind round my house this morning! Mindee is happy drawing and I have really gutted the toys. I have a basic set downstairs now. Lego and colouring for the after school kids and dolls house and a box of stuff for pre-school. I've only got 6 days of pre-schools left! spread over 3 weeks, so we'll spend plenty of time away from home, so we won't need much. The loft is the next job. There's tons of boxes up there! DH foolishly said he was taking the week off after Easter, so I asked him what he'd planned. Sadly for him, he said 'nothing' He is now booked to board the loft and get a skip! It's going to be a busy couple of weeks!
