I am devastated with decision that was made for my child scan date coc 30th may, he has so many health problems he can't walk and he is also autistic and the awful feedback was he doesn't need dla claim. I had no call or text from them, I rang them myself was on hold for 1hr 50 min and I had a lovely lady on the call was very understanding and I said I want them to look at it again with my valid reasons but my call got cut off but she called me back bless her and she wrote everything down and said you should get a response 3/4 weeks. I provided so much evidence the report mentions my child can't walk he can't even balance never mind walk and has so many falls and accidents. I don't think his claim was properly looked at waited over 6 months and get declined. What will happen next with the MR? I hope everyone case is looked at properly and are awarded with the right amount.

@Melliee yeah I'm gonna try calling monday morning. I'm not feeling too hopeful if I'm honest. I would just like to know either way now so I'm really hoping there is a decision. I will definitely update on here and let you know what they say 😊

@Specialchild2019 I'm probably not much help because I haven't had to do an MR so far as I'm still waiting for a decision on my son's first claim. I didn't want to read your post and run though, I'm sorry to hear that has happened. Did they take your son's whole award away when they did the coc? As far as I know with an MR they send it all off to another DM to look again, so you will get a fresh set of eyes on it all. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that your MR is successful 🤞 Hopefully someone on here may have more experience than me and will be able to help you more xxx

My scan date is 14/7. I’m hoping as my last text was 9/10 that the 5 week rule that we’ve seen I get some sort of response tmw!! Here’s hoping 🤞🏻 good luck to all x

Right so from what I have seen reading these threads the is 2 texts
one stating a decision has been made (decline)
one stating your child qualifies (awarded) that’s how iv seen them is this true or can you get one saying a decision has been made and still be awarded…just preparing myself incase I get text lol xxx anyone else feeling more nervous as it’s getting closer? Xxxx

I’m getting nervous that I’ve wasted 16 weeks waiting for it to be a decline now the closer I get & the more declines I’m seeing xx

@MammyAng84 yep I’m getting more nervous too! 18weeks now…have you seen lot of declines? To be honest iv seem lot of awards more then declines but I’d I’m honest you just don’t know some with lots evidence gets decline done with hardleys none gets awards so it just makes you nervous as you know it can go anyway xxxxxx

Yeah it’s hard to try & work out what answer you will get isn’t it? The closer I’m getting the more I’m getting nervous as I didn’t get any txts or anything just 1 letter & I rang weeks ago to be told around 16th for it to go to Dm xx

16 weeks 4 days for me, going to try and call tomorrow if not I'll leave it until Wednesday which is 17 weeks.

@MammyAng84 I also think it'll be a decline for us, I keep thinking that she's not any worse than other DC her age, especially since school took all support away and say she doesn't (she does need it, invididual teachers and TAs say she does but the Senco and Head won't put support back in place).

@Specialchild2019 oh no way this has happened I really hope get the right decision from another dm, I have put a new claim in for my son who currently can't walk in a wheel chair or crutches on a good day so I'm worried ours is going to be a decline aswell I've sent a few pieces of evidence and school wrote in the form about how he is immobile plus his other conditions fingers crossed we both get what our children deserve and need I'm currently 15 weeks on Wednesday

@MammyAng84 yep I’m nervous now! It’s horrible as we know our child’s needs etc but to think someone can make a decision just based on paper also it’s hard to put all on paper as sometimes you need to be around the child to understand more I like when I see awards because it makes me feel like they fully understand…and to think we have waited 18 weeks etc to get declines is awful! I have my fingers crossed this week as this is as I been told my decision week..if it’s a decline I now have more evidence for a mr! Xxxxx

Yes I'm really nervous also. Let's see if the theory of 5 weeks plus after 2nd txt is really true eh. I'm sure a lot of the recent awards people received were after 17 weeks + 3 days. My son has a SALT appointment tomorrow so if I don't know whether to send in as extra evidence. Scan date 12/7

@Sskanf i think your decision will be this week I’m 10/7 so k defo think we will know this week maybe extra evidence might not get there in time…I’m unsure….but I think we will know for defo this week! Let’s see if this 5week text is true xxxxxx

Hopefully this will help anyone waiting. I sent my application on the 3/7 not sure of scan date as I never got one but I've had 2 texts on 12/9 and 2/10 saying its still being looked at and on Friday 10/11 I had a text to say my child qualified. Good luck everyone 🤞

@Rebeccanew I was thinking the same thing about the 2 texts aswell whether the decision made is a award or definite decline?

Thank you so much for your support, he was just on mcr. I have all the evidence too his non verbal, he can't understand or listen has really bad anxiety, no safety awareness around him at all. See what happens with MR =(

@Tammie23 i hope you do get the right award it is hard to wait and not get the right award. I had provided alot of evidence but my son don't have a diagnosis as he is on the waiting list and getting test done from the paeditrician.

Yeah @Mommaof2babas I wonder if that is the case xxxxx
