I am originally from a small town in Dorset and moved to London 2 years ago. I currently live in North London working as a full time live in nanny, looking after a lovely 2 year old boy, who I have cared for since he was 11 months old. I have a genuine love for children, and see myself working in the childcare profession for the rest of my working life.

I am seeking a full time, live in position within zones 1-2 in London, preferably caring for one baby under 1 year old. I am willing to become OFSTED registered if required, and I have excellent checkable references.

I have 10 years of childcare experience - looking after 0-5 year old children - and have extensive knowledge of their learning and development. I have worked full time in nurseries for 4 years, and have also been a Mother's Help looking after a newborn baby. As a childcarer, colleagues and parents tell me I have a very caring way with children, I am calm and friendly, and children feel happy and secure in my care. I have extensive experience of weaning, daily and sleep routines, babies adapting to bottle feeding after being breast fed, potty training, children with special needs, caring for twins, fussy eaters, toddler temper tantrums, allergies and health conditions such as asthma and eczema.

As a nanny, I love to be out and about with my charge ? places we go to weekly are playgrounds, libraries, soft play, playgroups and to visit other nannies and their charges. Also there are occasional visits to the swimming pool, the zoo, museums, farms, and other places of interests too. I enjoy setting up activities for my charge at home too such as painting and baking. I?ve had a very happy time working for this family, but the reason I am looking for a new nanny position is because my boss and I have mutually agreed that going to a nursery would be a better option for her son as he?s a very sociable little boy and loves to be around older children.

I have an NVQ level 2 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, which I completed at Bournemouth and Poole college in 2007. I have a Paediatric First Aid Certificate and have been CRB checked.
